1) COMPLAINT:

A complaint was filed against the Respondent regarding his wilful refusal and gross
insubordination in failing to sign an Affidavit to be filed in the High Court relating to a matter
involving the Royal Ipoh Club.
2) CHARGES:

Charges against the Respondent were as follows:

Charge 1:

That you, Pulanthran a/l Muniandy (M/ship No. 4082) on 08.01.2020 at 7.24pm (New York
time when directed by Dato Thong Fah Chong as President of the Royal Ipoh Club during his
absence from the Club to affirm an Affidavit to support an Application for a Stay of
Proceedings on behalf of the Royal Ipoh Club in the matter of Ipoh High Court Civil Suit No.
AA-22NCvc-21-02/2018, between Mohammad Yunus bin Ahmad Ali v. Dato Thong Fah Chong
in you capacity as Vice President, you had with wilful refusal to affirm the Affidavit and you
have hereby committed a deliberate or reckless act which may result in damage to the
interest of the Club.

Charge 2:

That you Pulanthrana/l Muniandy (M/ship No.4082) on 08.01.2020 at 10.30am at the Palm
Court, Royal Ipoh Club when requested by Mr. GunasegeranSuppiah and Mr. Rashpal Singh
as Solicitors of the Club to affirm an Affidavit in support of an Application for a Stay of
Proceedings on Ipoh High Court Civil Suit No. AA-22NCvc-21-02/2018 between Mohammad
Yunus bin Ahmad Ali v. Dato Thong Fah Chong in your capacity as Vice President, you
intentionally refused to affirm the Affidavit and you have hereby improperly conducted
yourself which is unbecoming of a Vice President and which is injurious to the interest or
image of the Club.
