• Think about the story that you want to tell

• Decide which characters you will need

• Sketch out your picture in your Everyday Book

• Think about the colours that you will need to use


Painting
• You will find the paper and paint that you will need in the Maker
Space

• You can use the stencils provided or hand draw your own
characters

• Use the sponges or the cotton buds to apply the paint to your
paper

• Start by making your background, think about the texture of a


cave wall

• After your background has dried you can apply your characters
What is your story?
• While your painting is drying think about
the meaning/message of your painting.

• Draft a small story to go with your picture


in your Everyday Book.

• Once your story has been checked by a


Learning Coach you can publish it on the
scroll paper to match your picture.

• Tea stain your paper and leave to dry.
