CELLS Year 7 Biology learning list

 Know the structure of animal cells, plant cells, amoeba and euglena. Including cell wall, cell
membrane, cytoplasm, nucleus, vacuole, mitochondria and chloroplasts- know their job and
where they are in a cell.
 Know the similarities and differences between plant and animal cells.
 Know what a tissue, organ and organ system is.

REPRODUCTION

 Know reproduction in humans including the structure and function of the male and female
reproductive systems.
 Know fertilisation, gestation (foetus growing inside the woman) and birth.
 Menstrual cycle
 Puberty

PLANT REPRODUCTION

 Know the flower structure,

 Wind and insect pollination
 Fertilisation
 Seed and fruit formation and dispersal

There will be some questions that will focus on experimental data analysis and understanding
the scientific method.
