The applicant/accused named above submits to this Hon’ble court that

1. The above mentioned complaint/case is pending before this Hon’ble court and is at the stage
of defense side evidence/ stands posted for defense side evidence.
2. The accused submits that he intends to examine himself as defense side witness before this
Hon’ble court in the interest of justice
3. The examination of accused as witness is essential to bring on record actual and true facts of
the case for proper adjudication of the said case/complaint.
4. The petition if allowed would cause no prejudice to the prosecution. Whereas if the petition is
not allowed would cause great prejudice to the accused.

In light of these circumstances, it is therefore prayed that this Hon’ble court may be pleased
to permit the accused to adduce oral evidence on behalf of the defense side or permit to
appear as defense witness in the interest of justice.
