The business began in 2016 by Ms Donna Miller, this was after selling a small portion of clothing. Ms Miller,
had received the clothing from her family abroad. The proceeds from this business venture was then invested
in starting her snackette entity.

2. EVOLUTION / CHANGES IN THE BUSINESS SINCE INCEPTION:

Ms Donna Miller has several years’ experience in the catering and snacks preparation business. Ms Donna
from a very young age was involved in helping her mother in the food preparation and catering business.

Ms Miller before starting her business was a stay at home wife, which was supported by her husband.

This further encouraged Ms Miller to pursue this business idea in a field which she has vast knowledge and
experience

A. PERSONAL STRATEGY/GOALS

What are your lifetime goals? How do you want to be remembered by family, friends and colleagues? What
do you want to accomplish by the end of this year, in five years, in fifteen years? How can you organize your
personal life to attain these goals?

Donna and Family Snackette plans to provide a variety of fresh snacks and lunches in a safe and hygienic place.
Donna and Family Snackette will also provide a wide range of cold non-alcoholic beverages.

Within one year, financial independence will be achieved. Furthermore the business owner would like to be
remembered as a positive, hard-working individual who left an inheritance for her generation. More so, Ms
Miller intends to a buy a stand up cooler within one year

In five years, Ms Miller plans to renovate her existing stall into a modern café in which customers can dine and
relax.

In fifteen years, Donna and Family Snackette intends to acquire a vehicle, this will aid the business operations
to be mobile, which will allow Ms Miller to reach more customers.

B. BUSINESS STRATEGY/GOALS

What is the vision for your business? How do you see it evolving? What will it be like at the end of this year,
in five years, in ten years? What steps can you take toward achieving your business goals?

1. The business is mainly a snackette which caters for breakfast, lunches and a mini beverage bar on a
daily basis which contains alcoholic and non- alcoholic beverages.
2. The business plans to include one employee, while Miller prepares the lunches and snacks, the
employee will serve customers.

Steps to achieve goals:


1. Hygienic Environment

4. Offer great customers service
5. Offer discounts to customers purchasing in bulk.

Donna and Family Snackette sells a wide range of items for example: Chana, Purri, Purri and Chana, Egg Ball,
Mince Ball, Pholourie, and a wide range on lunches on a daily basis.

Donna and Family Snackette open from 8.00am-10.00pm from Mondays to Sundays

IV. MARKET ANALYSIS


A. TYPE AND RESULTS OF MARKET RESEARCH:

My research was done by interviewing potential individuals and businesses. With individuals my questions
were verbal and with businesses, questionnaires were used.

My research revealed that many teachers, nurses, students, and other individuals using the road to the interior
class individuals do not have the time prepare meals and snacks due to their busy schedule, therefore prefer to
purchase snacks and lunches

80% of persons indicated that this type of service is greatly appreciated in the community.

How many customers do you have? Are they businesses or individuals? Do you have a few customers that
