POSEIDON was the Olympian god of the sea, earthquakes, floods, drought and horses.

This page provides an expansive overview of the children of Zeus. The majority of were linked to him with
only the briefest of genealogical references. Many were assigned his parentage to emphasize their rough and
brutal nature--such as the opponents of Herakles. Others were the mythical founders of certain noble houses
and island kingdoms.
