Hello Ray Warriors, Class of 2020 Parents:

This is Ray Elementary School’s first virtual graduation. Although the COVID-19
pandemic has drastically changed our 2019-2020 school year, we are going to make the
best of it and celebrate our students. We are very excited to acknowledge our students’
elementary school journey as they are promoted to high school. We appreciate and value
your support. After reviewing the survey results, we have two events planned for our
Class of 2020 graduates. 

Activity #1 -Graduation Supply Pick-up

Tentative Dates - June 3rd-4th, 35 per day (Friday, June 5th-will be a makeup day) 
Pick up times will be staggered for social distancing.
Location: Ray Elementary School’s North Playground
 The playground will be decorated. Photos with immediate family will
be permitted (no group photos allowed).
 Students will receive a cap, gown, ribbon, medal, Class of 2020 T-shirt, and
framed graduation photo.
 Parents please be prepared to sign a media consent form permitting your student
to participate in the virtual ceremony and for pictures to be posted on social media
sites.
 Graduation and school fees must be paid. Please contact Mrs. Sonia Vergara,
svergara@cps.edu , if you have any questions.

Activity #2 - A Virtual Graduation Ceremony

Date & Time: June 11, 2020 @ 2:00PM

Parents, this is where we need your assistance:
 We need a baby picture of your graduate.
 Also, if possible, families should send a 10 second shout-out to your graduate, a
quote or words of encouragement. This can be an email or a video.
