PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS Traductor

Basic knowledge

The present perfect continuous is formed with have/has been + the -ing form of
the verb:

I've been reading for hours.

We use it to talk about an action which began in the past and has gone on for
some time and is still in progress at the time of speaking:

It's been raining all day.

Have you been waiting long?

More about it

We can use the present perfect continuous to talk about an action that finished
a short time ago and of which the results or effects are obvious:

What have you been doing?

(Your trousers are covered in mud).

Expertise

The continuous forms (-ing) emphasize the progress, the process of an action.

We use the present perfect continuous to underline the length of the action, or
the fact that it is still in progress, or the fact that its results are obvious at the
time of speaking.
