BRIGADA ESKWELA is the National schools maintenance week. And as part of

DepEd family, our school is implementing this program. This aims to bring together all

teachers and school officials, students and their parents, alumni, community leaders,

members of the non – government organizations, private sectors, other government

agencies and all other stakeholders to participate and contribute their time, effort and

resources to prepare public schools facilities for the opening of the school year. Before

Brigada Eskwela, the faculty and staff will have an activity name Op;an Balik Eskwela.

In which this activity will inform the people living in the barangay and nearby

barangay about the schedule of Brigada Eskwela and what will be the activities during

the said program. The conduct of Brigada Eskwela is very beneficial to school

community most to our learners. Some of the activities include cleaning of classrooms,

repairing of defective school facilities like chairs and tables etc., painting of classroom

walls and other maintenance activities to make sure that facilities are safe from disaster.

It saves resources on the part of the school to establish functional linkage and

networking to stakeholders is being tested. Since the conduct of this activity is on

volunteerism, it builds oneness and cooperation to all stakeholders. With the spirit of

Bayanihan, a huge and heavy work becomes smaller and lighter because of the different

activities conducted. After a week of conducting Brigada Eskwela, camaraderie among


stakeholders develops and keeps alive. And the most important is, the school becomes

pleasing and inviting to the eye of the learners because of its cleanliness and

orderliness. In totality, the school is ready and safe to serve all Filipino learners

especially in our place and nearby barangays who are dreaming and considering school

as one of the major factors to realize their ambitions in life.

Reflection:

As a member of the society, one can contribute for the success of this meaningful

activity. One has a role to play to enlighten the program. No matter how small or big

the contributions that are shared, definitely it will have an impact in the life of the

learners. Therefore, in the next conduct of the said program, everybody should get

out, take part, contribute and participate because sharing and contributing are

important factors in the lives of the learners for their future.

feeding activity should be on the first Monday of July. The preparation and cooking is

done in the kitchen of H.E. Room by the adviser and even parents who are willing to

share their time and effort. The food is delivered to every concern learners. Foods that

being served are high in vitamins and minerals that help prevent diseases and

infections and most especially uplift the health status of those learners being evaluated

as wasted and severely wasted.

As a result of this Feeding Program, those being evaluated as wasted and severely

wasted learners, their school attendance will be improved because of their nutritional
status has been developed, short term hunger alleviated and the most important is

Educational achievement is attained.

My reflection about feeding program is, Food is the basic necessity of everyone

especially in the young ones going to school. Because they need more energy to do all

their daily activities as a student. I became inspired to persevere more in life so that I

can be a big help to my learners. Let us not waste our food and even our money. We

must take care our blessings because not all who receive blessings as what we are

receiving. Through this feeding program, I can feel great and have special feelings

that even in a simple way I can help my learners and help them in their Education

journey.

Peer Support Program recognize that individuals experience times of stress in which

they sometimes need support of a friend or peer in school. It uses peers as support

agents or friends who are trained to provide social and emotional assistance and to

create a safe and trusty environment. Peer support Program activities include

mentoring, teacher moral support, ambassador/ambassadress, and meditation. This

program may take place in one – on – one sessions as well as in groups through having

a group of peers facilitating. Peer support Program may form one part of an overall

programs like past of a peer education – based program that simultaneously uses a peer

support to create safe environment and may function as a program of its own that peers

are trained to provide the role of a friend. This program is done through the process of

applying strategy to support young people experiencing adverse sexually and even

gender, learners living with a serious illness, learners having attitude problems inside

and outside the school and even family problem. Because of peer support program,

learners who are at risk may stay engaged in the recovery process through moral

support of the teacher and meditation. And they can continue their schooling and the
most important, because of this program, learners at risk may reduce anxiety and stress,

overcome problems and inadequacy, improve social skills, plan future and reaching

their goals.

As my reflection is concern, Peer Support Program is very necessary to minimize the

risk of role confusion in order to achieve the beneficial potentials of peer support

works. A thorough education on what peer support work can and cannot deliver is

essential and could help to foster the success of the program for the welfare of the

learners.

My reflection on different programs we have in our school, every program should be

planned properly. Plans should be a learner – centered that can suit to the level and

status in life of every learner. Programs should be organized, balanced, articulated,

sequenced, integrated and of course with continuity. All the things about the

programs in school, it must be put into actions, there should be an outcome relevant

to the process being done. There is no perfect strategy or procedures in every

program but with the help of everybody in the institution, everything will be

realized for the benefit of our learners.
