Education and Career Statement:  

My name is David Torres and I am Mexican. I currently live in Chicago,Illinois. 

My goal is to become the greatest soccer player that ever lived. I want to inspire 
others into becoming the best possible that they can be.  
I value family, hard work, and passion. This comes from the heart if I’m 
being honest. I never really had to question my values because I kind of always 
had them engraved in myself. 
I’ve had many experiences that shaped who I am. Some are way too personal 
to share but one recent experience would have to be the death of my idol in Kobe 
Bryant. He is basically the reason why I am the way I am. Although I never knew 
him personally, he impacted my life more than anyone on this planet. His death 
hit me as if he was my father. He taught me everything that I needed to know 
about life. 
I want to be the greatest soccer player of all time. This has been my dream 
ever since I was a kid. I want this more than anything in life and I’m willing to risk 
it all in order to achieve this. I would die on the soccer field, that is how much I 
want this. It is all I think about. 
The fact that I want to be the greatest soccer player of all time shows my 
passion and work ethic. This will allow me to inspire others into becoming the 
best possible human being that they can be because the fact that I strive to 
improve myself on and off the soccer field will show others that they can too, 
which will make the world a better place.
