1. As a Sanitary Engineer assigned in a proposed Water Supply Project, how will the characteristics of the
water source such as stream/river (usually used in large scale water supply) affect your design? – As a
sanitary Engineer the main concern is the safety of the consumer, because there might be
filtration and water treatment needed so that the water that is delivered can be safely
consumed.
2. In designing Public Swimming structures, what are the parameters to consider?
- The parameters that should be considered in constructing public swimming pools come in
stages.
8. What are the environmental laws and regulations that addresses the problems of air and
noise pollution?
- The Philippines Clean Air Act of 1999 (Republic Act No. 8749) outlines the government's
measures to reduce air pollution and incorporate environmental protection into its
development plans.
-This Act shall be known as the "Public Disturbance Noise Regulation Act". Towards
this end, the State shall endeavor to reduce the exposure of the public to noise and
improve health by regulating any sound which unreasonably injures or endangers the
comfort, repose, peace, safety, and health of every person.
9. As a Sanitary Engineer, what is your contribution in reducing the exposure of the people to
noise and air pollution?
- By mandating people a proper segregation, hazard precaution, proper safety equipment and
proper hygiene and in noise pollution strict implementation of the public disturbance noise
regulation act.
