1.8. CONCLUSION
CHAPTER 2
SITE JUSTIFICATION
The city of Tagaytay is a component city in the province of Cavite. It is located 59
kilometers from the city of Manila. Because of its mild climate, beautiful scenery, different tourist
attractions, and relative closeness to Metro Manila, it is became a popular getaway place for the
residents of the metro.
TRANSPORTATION

The proposed site is located along the National Highway which makes it easily
accessible by both private and public transportation. Buses, jeepneys, tricycles, and private
vehicles are the commonly used modes of transport. Bus companies such as DLTB Co., HM
Transport, Greenstar, Jac Liner, and Jam are in the municipality.
The proposed site faces commercial establishments. Some residential, institutional, and
commercial buildings are near the area. It is also near the famous amusement park, Skyranch.
The proposed site is located in Tagaytay City, Cavite. On its northern part lies the
municipalities of Silang and Amadeo in Cavite. On the south lies the municipalities of Laurel and
Talisay in Batangas, on the east is the municipality of Calamba in Laguna and Tanauan in
Batangas, and on the west are the municipalities of Mendez and Alfonso in Cavite.
POWER SOURCE
MERALCO serves as the power source of all households of Tagaytay City. In 2014,
98.43% of the total household have access to electricity.
WATER SOURCE
The Tagaytay City Water District (TCWD) serves as the water source of all households
of Tagaytay. At present, about 98.66% of the total number of households is being served by the
TCWD. Other households obtain water directly from springs, rainwater or deep wells.
SEWAGE AND SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL
The City Government constructed an MRF covering an area of 4,000 sqm with
equipment to process mixed waste per day. It is designed to receive, sort, process and store
compostable and recyclable materials.
COMMUNICATION LINES
The major telecommunications and digital services providers operating the country
reaches the site. Some of these include PLDT, Sky, Globe Telecom, Smart Communications,
Sun Cellular, etc.
The proposed site is flat and has an elevation of 600 meters and above.
