Siemens Competition for Math, Science and Technology Regional Finalist — 2017
(Top 60 from ~1800 projects)

Using genome-wide methylation profiling and machine learning methods, we identified a


methylation panel for diagnosis and prognosis of acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL) and
acute myceliogenic leukemia (AML) with a high accuracy, with implications for prediction
of prognosis and treatment selection.

Organized a swim relay fund raising event and recruited Olympic and national elite
athletes to the relay Swim Team in July 2018. The event raised $56,000 for early
cancer detection research and education. All funds were donated directly to UCSD
Cancer Moores Center

Planned a swim relay fund raising event and recruited Olympic and national elite
athletes to the relay Swim Team in June 2019. The foundation has already raised
$80,000 for early cancer detection research and education in 2019.
