He and his friends defeated the demon lord but two died of injuries while his best friend sacrificed himself to close the portal. As the sole survivor leaving the castle, Ramzell was stabbed by the retreating soldiers. While dying, the demon lord appeared and offered him a reward.

    Vale of Tears Story

    Ramzell: A former Summoner and lone survivor of the final battle between humans and demons. During
    the final battle, the kingdoms soldiers who’s supposed to be their support retreated leaving him and
    friends facing the demon lord. After the fierce battle they defeated the demon lord but it leaves two of
    friends dead due to their serious injuries, his best friend Ahl the proclaimed hero sacrifice himself to
    close the portal of the demon realm to prevent the army monsters from the other side leaving him the
    only survivor. As he leaves the castle he saw a group of soldiers running towards him, before he knew it
    a sword struck right through his heart. Knowing his life is slowly diminishing a mysterious shadow
    suddenly appeared standing right in front of him, it is the Demon Lord. It offers him a reward
