(Spare Parts Management System)

Abstract:
The project spare parts management system is developed to computerize the customer
requirement for the needed spare parts.

The purpose is to service the customer as quick as possible. When customers want to find some
products they can find the products with their name, id, or by pictures. Thus we can save the
searching time. Customers can view their previous order by just one click.

The system has been completely designed as pictorial form. Customer can know that which
company is going to be on top and which company products customer mostly like by graph
section. Customer should comparison between two company products to know the better
product.

Introduction:-

Automotive industry started in Pakistan in 1950. The business of auto spare parts are very
common in Pakistan. The increase in demand for automobile can be traced to rising income
levels, creation of new jobs opportunities.The production of motorbikes increase by 25% in
2005-2006. The motorbikes have also shown superb growth due to new candidates with strong
competition. Strong competition have brought about the availability of cheaper motorbikes in
market. With the increase of motorbikes production, the demand of their spare parts is increase.
Motorbikes has over 4000 components and spare parts by which motorbikes are assembled.
Small and critical parts are manufactured locally and the remaining parts are purchased by
vendors and sub-contractors.

Over 400 vendors are engaged in the production of auto parts locally including tyres, sheet metal
parts, indicators, mirrors, gasket, engine valve, camshafts, oil mumps, gears, pistons, radiators,
seats, dashboard, and axles[1].

Our project is based on motorbikes spare parts. In this project we introduce management of parts
information, maintenance of stocks, information about sales, information about prices of parts
and quality of parts and many others are discuss in details given below.

In this project we add features that meet the shopkeeper’s requirements and customer’s needs. In
this section I represent the very simple method for writing a good introductory chapter.Repair
shops are helping to preserve the environment. Auto repair business employing workers with the
necessary skills to service these vehicles will likely always be in demand.

The features includes, customers is the main part of this business. Without customers this
business is going to be end. So, we place all the record of the customer in this project/system.
We manage all the customers’ transactions by this system. This system are able to record all the
transaction of money on the basis of debit and credit. Customer are allocated with unique ID. By
this ID we search all the data of customer in our system.

We also maintain the stock record. With this record we know that which product is going to be
end and which product is available in much quantity.

We also calculate the total profit/loss on yearly basis or monthly basis.

In sales section there is another feature of reverse sales transaction. In reverse sale section
transaction are roll back or change some product that not meet the customers’ requirements or
due to any other problems.

There is a discount section, we apply checks on transactions like someone purchase product
more than 50,000 rupees then owner can gave discount. The discount percentage is set by
shopkeeper.

There is another section of news. This means that we upload latest news for our customers
through news section.

Comment section is also available for customer. By which customer give us their views, ideas,
information about the business and feedback about the products. Customers can gave their ideas
and feedback about single product, and can comment about product through comments box.

Customer register ourselves through login form and can also get member ship cards or numbers.
By this member ship card or number customer can get special offers.

Customers can buy products online. Customers can buy products by companies name and
according to their bikes. Customer first select the company and then select bike which bikes
product he wants to purchase.

Now we move towards the main section/features of this project/system.

The first main features of this project is that when our stock is less than specific limit then
automatically email to companies dealer for ordered further stock. Stock limit is set by
shopkeepers.

The second main features is that we compare different company products with respect to prices,
qualities. The aim of this feature is that which company’s product is suitable for us before use.
First important point on our respected teacher’s demand, graph rating of different company’s
products sales on yearly basis. By this graph section customers know that which company is
going on top and which product is suitable for their bikes and budget.

Second main feature on our respected teacher demand is star rating. Customer can gave their
ratings to products. We can see five stars below each product, customer click on them and give
rating. I should show these ratings of different customers in the form of graph.
