B. INSPECTION Results

1. Inspect starter/cubicle for mechanical damage

2. Check starter nameplate and identification details

3. Inspect and ensure that the installation meets the requirements of the hazardous area in which the
cubicle/starter is located

4. Ensure that weatherproofing meets the requirements

5. Check draw-out carriage for smooth operation

6. Check door, isolator and padlock operations

7. Inspect and ensure that cleanliness is maintained inside the starter/cubicles

8. Check wiring and ferruling in accordance with wiring / schematic diagrams

INSPECTION Results

9. Check rating of MCCBs, MCBs and SFU

10. Check continuity of fuses

11. Test operation of Switch Fuse Unit and ensure proper make and break

12. Check close and open operation of MCCBs and MCBs by hand

13. Check manual tripping of MCCB

14. Test and record through contact resistance of SFU / MCCB / MCB auxiliary contacts

15. Record control transformer rating

16. Check and record contactor and auxiliary relay coil voltages

17. Check arcing chutes and ensure cleanliness

18. Check free movement of contactor contacts

19. Record through contact resistance of contactor contacts with contacts physically closed ()

20. Record earthing resistance between equipment earth ring ()

21. Record insulation resistance of main circuit to earth (M)

22. Check cable gland suitability and tightness
