It is my first meet with Romantic Poetry and I have learned a lot from this course.

Romantic Poetry deals with the aspects of nature and I have learned a lot about nature as well.

Romantic’s main concern was to highlights the importance of nature in man’s life and affects of

man on nature as well. The first poem, I have read in this course was “Elegy written in a Country

Churchyard” by “Thomas Gray” influenced me so much. This poem shows me the reality of life

and bitter truth of life. Romantic Poetry is almost all about the life and hardships of life in one’s

life. This course is very close to my religion e.g. many poems highlights the reality of death that

death is certain and same Islam also teaches us that Death is certain but the time of death is not

certain.

This course also taught me the importance of family and friends and how we inter-linked

with each other but we should not forget the realty of death as well. Death is the thing which

separate our beloved from us and after that we couldn’t see them again. Nature plays an

important role in Romantic Poetry and I also have learned that we should spend some time in the

company of nature. Nature is like a mother and a mother always loves his children. Same nature

also loves human but we didn’t pay any attention to the beauty of nature. We are so busy in our

life that we didn’t have much time to enjoy nature’s company.

Some poems also taught me that we should help each other at the time of needs because

this will make our relations strong. The theme of meditation is discussed many times in all the

poems and this taught me the importance of meditation in our life that we should meditate once

in a week so that we can enjoy our company. This will help us to sort out our problems and their

solutions and also help us for self-accountability.

In short, this course was all about reality. And I have learned a lot from this course and I

hope this course will help me in my upcoming life because everything we have learned was
about real things and nothing was about poet’s thoughts or imagination. And this course is my

one of favorite course.
