1. Where is this school located? How long would it take you to get there from Garnet Valley? How
do you feel about this distance? ​It is located in North Carolina and is somewhere near a 5 hour
drive. I’m fine with being far away from home, so the distance is fine.
2. How many undergraduate students attend this school? How many graduate students? ​There are
4545 undergrads, and 592 graduates.
3. List three sports, clubs, and/or organizations that the school offers that interest you. Consider
Greek life (fraternities/ sororities), campus ministry, study abroad opportunities, community service
organizations, etc. ​I would most likely be playing soccer so I don't know how much time I would
have for clubs and frats.
4. What kind of internships are available to students of this school? ​Two examples are Beth W.
Belk, P.A. in Concord, NC and Ameriprise Financial in Greensboro, NC

5. What is the campus setting (urban, suburban, rural, etc.)? What kinds of off-campus experiences
are available to students at this school? ​This is a suburban school, I don’t know of many different
off campus activities.
6. What are three majors that this school offers that you would like to consider? ​Actuarial Science,
Accounting, or something with business.
7. What is this school’s job placement rate for graduating students? ​Around 96%

for ACT it is around 22-27
11. What are the GPA/Class Rank requirements for this school? ​The GPA requirement is around a
3.3-3.5
12. What other admissions requirements are there? SAT 2, letters of recommendation, personal
statement, interview, audition, etc.? ​Other than SAT, I don’t know any other requirements.
13. Is this school “Safety” “Reach” or “Middle of the Road” for you? ​It’s in between the safety and
middle of the road. I feel like I can get accepted pretty easily.

14. Where is the Health Center and/or Counseling Center located and what are the hours? How do
you make an appointment at the Counseling Center? ​It is located at 805 Panther Drive, and it is
open on Monday - Friday at 8am - 5pm
15. What are the hours for the Writing Center? Do you need an appointment or can you just drop in?
Monday through Friday from 9am - 9pm. You need to make an appointment.
16. What academic supports/curricular accommodations can students with special learning needs
receive? ​ ​High Point University will consider educational modifications, housing
accommodations, architectural barriers, and other services available to all students. They will
also provide other accommodations for students with disabilities.
