Assignment Title : ANALYSING, DESIGNING AND IMPLEMENTING APPLICATION SYSTEM

USING APPROPRIATE DATABASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Scenario :

In order to fulfill the requirement for this subject, the students are required to do a research on
an existing system. They have to gather all the data and information from the existing system
by applying the fact-finding techniques; interview or questionnaires. The students also have to
identify the problems faced by the existing system. After gathering all the important data and
information, they are going to design and develop a new computerized system that can
overcome the problems occur in the existing. There will be a project presentation on the 4th
FEBRUARY 2020.

Tasks:

1. This is a grouping assignment consists of 3-4 students in a group.

2. The students have to choose a system, go to an organization and do a research on the
existing database system.
3. The students have to gather all the data and information using the fact-finding techniques;
interview or questionnaire.
4. After comparing with the existing system, the students have to come out with
documentation on the new system and a new database schema.
5. Finally, the students have to develop a new database system based on the new database
schema using a suitable database management system.
