HEALTH 9: SCRIPT

All: Good morning to you all; We are group 6

Katie: Hi guys! Our lesson today is Promotion of a Nonviolent Culture

Sam: What can we understand from the title? *It’s all about desiring a peaceful society, but right now crimes
and abuse of any form are existing all around the globe such as (examples: puting van, ransom, barilan, yung
mga sinesend sa gc) (slut shaming sa twitter). It may seem impossible to achieve a nonviolent humanity but
with the implementation of laws and a profound respect for human rights we can live in an orderly
community.

Cj: There are many ways in supporting a peaceful society, this includes having a healthful behavior. (Read the
1st sentence in slide 4)

Ava: Respecting human rights is the root for a nonviolent culture because it develops respect for differences
such as religion, dreams, and achievements which prevents violence. (Kasi diba sa school kapag may issue
minsan suntukan or sigawan and nagaganap dahil sa ibang paniniwala or misunderstanding kaya kapag may
respeto tayo sa isa’t isa mas madaling ayusin ang mga problema)

Cj: (Read 2nd paragraph.) UNESCO has influenced the people to acknowledge the culture of peace with
proposals: These are (read all 3 proposals on slide 5)

Ava: (Read all 2 proposals on slide 6)


Katie: (Read all 3 proposals on slide 7)

Sam: (Explain slide 8) We students will soon be doctors, lawyers or managers. We will never know what we
might be, but we are going to be guiding other youngsters in building a better society so we must carry that
responsibility today by promoting peace. We should learn about it like what we are doing right now.

Katie: (Explain slide 9) Through us, we can spread peace and influence people because we are the future
leaders. We should study peace willingly even if it is not a subject, but if it’s possible having peace education
ca benefit all of us. We should all pay more attention to promoting peace and participate in making this
change. (You can explain in your own words para mas maiintindihan nila)

Zach: (Explain slide 10) (Explain in your own words)

Cj: Violence is one of the leading causes of death for people aged 15-44 years old.

Katie: 4,200 people die from violence each day

Zach: Youths who lived with domestic violence are at risked for behavioral, emotional and mental health
problems. (explain)

Ava: explain why we must prevent violence. At anong magagwa natin as students

Katie: Report of Cases of Violence to Proper Authorities(explain) (parang sa school, kailangan natin magreport
ng maling gawain tulad ng cheating and bullying)

Sam: Most schools provide support for students being bullied or discipline for those who bully. Bullying can be
tough in some schools that’s why we have guidance counselors and teachers to support and give advice to
students. Bullies can change the atmosphere of the school. Fights can become regularly if not corrected.

Peer bystanders – group of students who witnesses bullying. They can be influenced changing social climate
of a school. (explain)

Cj: It is our duty to help someone being bullied.

Cj: If someone is involved in incestuous relationship abuse─ Ask for help from the local police.

Sam: Call Bantay hotline 163 to report child abuse in the Philippines
(Social workers are available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.)
Ava: (Slide 15) All children in the Philippines are protected from all forms of violence, abuse, exploitation
and discrimination.

Sam: (Slide 15) Under RA 7610, it ensures that all children in the Philippines are provided legal protection, within a
child sensitive justice system.

Cj: Giving out clear information to an authority is helpful and can help save time. (Read slide 16 and 17)
