"Why you didn't tell us that you almost have a miscarriage last month?

" Rexor asked softly as soon as he

notice that I'm already awake.

"I didn't because I thought it is not important anyway. The baby and I are safe already. So basically,
there's no need to worry. Okay?" I defended myself then I move slightly from the bed

"Where are we by the way?" I added as I noticed the unfamiliar room.

"How about for not telling us that your doctor already suggest you for complete bed rest, huh?"

upon hearing his accusation, I was taken aback. How did he know? Did the doctor speak to him already?
Did I sleep long time enough?

"I'm sorry. But I thought that is not necessary for you to know. That is my personal problem. And beside,
I think I'm going nuts if I have to stay at my apartment 24 hours day and night."

"Personal problem? I thought you consider me as one of your trusted friend? No, I thought you consider
me already as your big brother? How about if anything bad will happen to your child? Do you have any
family here to assist you? To help you? For God's sake Althea, did you think thoroughly this time?"

"And why do you need to shout on me, huh? I told you, I'm sorry." I shouted back. I don't know why his
words hurt me. We are sometimes like this. When we are out of work, there are times we argue. He
usually gives me a sermon about my pregnancy. He acted like he have to give advices to a child. And it
brings me into a displeasure. But in the end, he apologize first even though it is not his fault.

"You know, if you love your unborn baby sincerely, you will not do that. You should follow all the advises
of your doctor."

"Eventhough I didn't follow her advise, I still know that I didn't stress my self out. My apartment is just a
walking distance. And you know that I don't have much workloads when I take my duty. Do you know
how boring it is staying alone in the apartment?" then I rolled my eyes.

"Why would you not go home instead to your province and take your leave earlier than your original
schedule?"
"Are you insane? Do you want me to stress myself even more? Going home is like suiciding. I have to
hear unpleasant words everyday from my family."

" Then what should you do right now? Do you know that your doctor told me earlier that you have a
cervical insufficiency that threatens for miscarriage. What if your baby will have some growth problems
someday because of his her mother hard-headed, huh? Are you willing to face another problem and
take all the responsibility confidently?"

"Okay. okay. Stop! I don't want to hear any sermons anymore. You know, sometimes you acted like my
father but more worst than him?"

"Then what do you want? Letting you do freely what you want to do? I'm just concern to both of you!
You always know that."

"I know. And I will always grateful for that. No need to remind me again and again." then I pouted.

"I have a great idea" Rexor said excitedly all of a sudden.

"What is it?" I asked curiously.

"How about if you transfer to us. Anyway, I'm sure that no one from my family can refuse you. And think
of it, it will solve all your problem. You can take your complete bed rest. You don't need also to pay your
monthly rate. And for sure you will not get bored to my little younger sister. What you need is to
accompany her at home."

"Are you crazy?" I don't know what my facial expression looks right now with my eyes getting wider and
the corners of my mouth curve slightly upward and which expresses a total amusement.

"I'm serious!"

"And I am not!" then I laughed harder than before." Do you hear your self? Did someone just offer to
move a pregnant girl to a single handsome engineer at their home?"
"What's the problem of that?"

"Are you serious? You're asking me what's the problem of your offer? You know, I wonder sometimes if
you are too innocent or you are just too naive. How come you passed the board examination in your
first try if you don't know how to calculate."

"And why should we calculate the people reactions sorrounds us if they are not part of it? I know you
are afraid to become the talk of our town. But you don't have any choices left that surely benifits you.
Please reconsider my proposal Althea. This is for your own good and not mine. And I assure you that I
will not definitely take advantage of you during the whole time staying at our home. I already accepted
the truth that you can't accept me as your lover."

"No need to sulk me engineer. I am guilty enough of declining you." I got up from the bed and started to
keep my things so that we can exit from the hospital.

"I know. No need to be serious. I'm just teasing you.".

"Great! You still have the time to tease me despite of the serious situation."

"Where are you going?" he asked while following me.

"Ask for the bill and pay for it? What else?"

"Now, let's go back to our topic. Would you accept my proposal or we will get your things from your
apartment right now and start moving it to my house?" he asked mischievously

"You left me no choice, huh?"

"Of course! You should be thankful for having me in your side."

"Thank you! But, how about your parents? Do you really think they will not oppose you?"

" I'm pretty sure. Eventhough they didn't met you in personal yet, but they already know you since I told
them your situation multiple times. And they are glad to meet you in person."
"Crazy as usual. How can I face them if they already know my background?" "I just need enought time to
think it wisely first either to accept or reject your offer."

"You don't need to think it wisely Althea. Moving to our house is the wiser decision that should be
made. And beside, you are free to move out anytime after giving birth to your child in your most
convenient time." "Where are you going?"

"Finding a cab. Where else? Do you want us to walk from here to the apartment?" then I shrugged my
shoulder. "What are you doing?"

"Grabbing your wrist to the parking lot. I used my car earlier. How do you think I brought you here?
Taking the ambulance? Or taking you with a public cab?"

"No need to offense me. I don't know you always bring your car wherever you are."

"I don't mean to offense you. I'm sorry." he open the the passenger seat then let me in. He put his hand
at the top of my head to protect me from bumping.

"Are you hungry? Where do you want us to go? Let's take anything first before I will send you to your
apartment." he asked.

"How about work? Don't tell me you're planning of not going back!" I exclaimed.

"Of course not. I only have almost one hour left. And beside, they already know where I went. By the
way, prepare all the papers needed for your leave. You need to file it tommorow."

"What? You want me to file an immediate leave tommorow as much as possible? Am I right?" I stared
him as soon as I realized what he meant.
