1. GENERAL
1.1 INTRODUCTION

In accordance with the request from PT.SSP as contractor of the PT.PLN, PLTU BANTEN-3, Lontar
(1x315 MW) Tanggerang, We propose to do the engineering basic and detail design for coal unloading jetty
extension (25 x 130)m.

1.2 PROJECT NAME

LONTAR EXTENSION COAL FIRED STEAM POWER PLANT (1x315 MW)

1.3 PROJECT LOCATION

The project is located at the coordinate of N-6.05 ; E-106.43. Map on figure 1.1 shows the location of the
project at Teluk Naga Tanggerang, Banten, west Java Republic of Indonesia. The location is shown on figure
below:

Figure 1-1 Project Location

1.4 SCOPE OF DESIGN

This design is for unloading Jetty extension including the foundation (piling) and structure design
Figure 1-2 Extension layout plan

Figure 1-5 Elevation View

Figure 1-6 Cross section

1.4.1 Foundation (Piling)

Steel pipe pile (spiral welded pile), with cathodyc protection. Spiral marine coating will be applied on the
upper part of splash zone area.
Steel pipe grade ASTM A 252 – Grade 3
Modulus of elasticity (Es) = 2.038.902,4 kg/cm2
Poisson ratio = 0.3
Tensile strength (Fu) = 455 MPa / 4550 kg/cm2
Yield strength (Fy) = 310 MPa / 3100 kg/cm2

1.4.2 concrete structure

Concrete grade Fc' = 30Mpa, characteristic compressive strength at 28 days.
Rebar, deformed reinforcing steel bar, BJTD-40 fy = 4000kg/cm2.
Rebar, plain reinforcing steel bar, BJTP-24 fy = 2400kg/cm2.
Cemen type V or type I with silica fume admixture contain 92% SIO 2 (Comform to ASTM C 1240) if type
V not available.
1.4.3 Finishing Work
Concrete Curb and fence

1.5 DESIGN CRITERIA

1.5.1 Barge specification (Ship particular)

The barge capacity for loading-unloading material base on available bathymetry will be 12.000 DWT.

Table 1-1 Ship particular

1 Ship type = Barge 300 ft

2 LoA = 377 ft’ = 115 m’
3 Lpp = 321.5 ft’ = 98 m’
4 Breadth = 100 ft = 30.5 m’
5 Deep Mould = 26 ft = 8 m’
6 Draft = 15 ft = 4.5 m’
7 DPL(Displacement tonnage Loadded) = 16000 Ton
8 DPT(Displacement tonage Light) = 4000 Ton
9 DWT = 12.000 Ton
10 Berthing Velocity = 0.15 m/sec
11 Angle of berthing = 10 degree

1.5.2 material unloading system

The crane with 2000 T/h grab ship unloader.

Figure 1-7 Gantry crane grab unloading

1.5.3 Concrete section analysis

1.5.3.1 Ultimate strength of concrete element
For design the concrete element structure, will be verified by using the load and resistance factored design
Method defined in the Indonesian concrete structure design code SNI 03-2847-2002, on which ultimate strength
of concrete section was calculated by assuming an elastic limit condition of concrete section during ultimate
phase.

1.5.3.2 Strength reduction factor

The strength reduction factors applied on this analysis are as follows:
 Bending moments : 0.83
 Shear and tension : 0.75
 Bending with compressive axial force : 0.65

1.5.3.3 Acceptance criteria

The structural acceptance criteria are defined in accordance with SNI 03-2847-2013
Mu≤ϕ Mn
Vu≤ϕ Vn
Nu≤ϕ Nn
Where : Mu = ultimate bending moment
Vu = ultimate shear force
Nu = ultimate axial force
Mn = nominal flexural capacity
Vn = nominal shear capacity.
Nn = nominal axial capacity
strength reduction factor
