It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Susanna Hargreaves. Susanna was
my intern at Wilkins Elementary School Library in Amherst, New Hampshire in September 2019. While
she was there, she did an outstanding job. Before her internship even began, Susanna put in at least 20
hours of additional time to assist me in May and June of 2019, which shows how dedicated she is.
During her time at Wilkins, she helped me with many tasks, including assisting with the Scholastic Book
Fair, checking in/out books using our Follett Destiny system, creating two wonderful displays for the
library display cases, creating a list of highly recommended children’s books about kindness, and
labeling, organizing, and shelving books. Susanna also developed two excellent lessons that tied in with
the display case themes of kindness and the magic of reading. She taught these lessons to students in
first through fourth grade. She also taught a lesson to the Kindergarten students at Clark Elementary
School. All of her lessons were a hit with the students since Susanna made them fun, interactive, and
appealing to children.

Throughout her internship, Susanna demonstrated her love of teaching, children, and literature. She
makes children want to read and that is a wonderful gift to give someone, especially a child. She is also
knowledgeable, positive, diligent, caring, creative, innovative, and willing to be open to new ideas and
skills. She is also extremely enthusiastic and energetic, so she knows how to make learning fun!
Susanna has also been my substitute of choice since the students adore her and she always adds
something special to every lesson she teaches the kids. She is such a hard worker and volunteers to stay
longer than she needs to in order to assist me with additional projects that need to be completed.
Susanna has also devoted many hours volunteering in the library this past school year.
I highly recommend Susanna Hargreaves for any teaching or library position, as she would be an asset to
