Oxforddictionaries.com caters to just about all your needs.
Dictionary.com is also brilliant: a large vocabulary hosted on
your phone so that you always have offline access; a
thesaurus; favourite words; etymology; pronunciation guides;
spelling suggestions and voice search.
2. Google Scholar
Google Scholar is the world's largest academic search engine. It
is a freely-accessible web search engine that indexes the full
text or metadata of scholarly literature across vast disciplines.
You can use it to download peer-reviewed academic journals
and books, theses and dissertations, conference papers,
technical reports, preprints, abstracts, and other scholarly
literature.
3. YouTube
Youtube is no doubt an invaluable tool for learning. Channels
like Khan Academy can help you in learning vast array of
topics in math, science and other subjects. Many teachers and
professors also create content for students to watch. Take
advantage of the millions of available videos to enhance your
learning.
4. Free eBooks
b-ok.org is one of the best resources on the web for free books
in a variety of download formats. There are thousands of
books available, in all sorts of genres, and all of them are
completely free. pdfdrive.com also provides an online library
where you can find thousands of free books to download.
5. Data
databank.worldbank.org/data/home contains collections of time
series data on a variety of topics. You can also download
financial, economic, and alternative datasets from quandl.com,
kaggle.com/datasets, and knoema.com.
6. Data Analysis
There are many software packages for econometricians,
statisticians, engineers, and others who use statistical
techniques. They are shown in Table 12.1. Use them for
estimation and analysis of different types of econometric and
statistical models.
