What is linguistics?

Linguistics is the study of the human being's ability to communicate through language since it
analyzes and understands each word, sound, its changes and its function in language. In itself,
linguistics focuses on some important aspects of language that are its evolution, history and
structure in order to involve a series of mental and social processes that help acquire the
language.
