1.0 Purpose
To establish a procedure that ensures all potential emergency situations, incidents and accidents are
clearly identified and steps taken to mitigate and prevent the impact of such events on employees, the
public and environment, including the likely illness and injury that may be associated with it.
2.0 Scope
This procedure covers the organizations, structure and responsibility, communication and plans of action
related to emergency response that shall be used by all personnel.

7.1 Identify Potential Incident, Accident & Emergency situation
7.1.1 Each Department shall identify the potential incident, accident & emergency EMR & EMSSC & EPR/
that might happen in the plant by referring to the significant environmental HODs
impact register or other reports.
7.1.2 After that, EPR shall include the identified emergency situation into the EPR/ ERT
Emergency Response Manual.
7.1.3 The emergency situation shall include where applicable, fire or explosion EPR/ ERT/ WW
oil or chemical spillage and major air pollution (due to more than 2 cyclones/
chimney breakdown)
7.2.3 ERT shall also identify the person and equipments needed for all emergency ERT
situations.
7.2.4 All the information will be updated into the Emergency response Manual with EPR
evacuation route shall be displayed at all prominent places.
7.3.2 The accident investigation report in the case of emergency will be completed ERT
by the Emergency response Team Leader.
7.4 Preventing And Mitigating The Associated Impact, Illness And Injury
7.4.1 The ERT will take action according to the suggestion given in the ERT
Environmental Non-Conformance, Corrective and Preventing Action Procedure
and Emergency Response manual.

7.5 Training Refreshment And Enhancement
7.5.1 Emergency Response Team shall be identified from the shift personnel due ERT
to their availability on 24 hours a day basis and will be done with the
cooperation between the Head of Department and ERT.
7.5.2 Training of emergency response team is required in how to handle the various EPR/ ERT
emergency situations, i.e.
a) First aid and
b) Basic fire fighting, self rescue and usage of breathing apparatus.
c) On-scene Controller
7.5.3 Training needs analysis and scheduling shall be identified and conducted EPR/ TPC
as per Training Procedure.
7.5.4 Periodical emergency drills shall be arranged to ensure the effectiveness EPR & All the HODs
of the emergency plan and familiarize with the system implemented. Where
appropriate and practicable, the participation of external emergency
services in practice drills should be encouraged.
7.6 Review
7.6.1 ERT shall review and revise the Emergency Response Manual once a year and ERT
also after each major accident had occurred or any changes to the information
inside the manual.
7.6.2 ERT shall also review the results of emergencies and practice drills and ERT
make changes accordingly.
7.6.3 ERT will then seek the approval from the EPR Chairman or Management ERT
Representative.
7.6.4 After the review, all the relevant personnel will be given a revised copy. ERT
