Her full name is Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll.

She was born on February 2,

1977 in the city of Barranquilla, Colombia. She is a singer, songwriter, dancer,
and businesswoman. But she is also a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.
She is the daughter of an American of Lebanese origin and a Colombian of
Catalan descent. That is why she has Arab and Spanish origins, some of her
songs and dances have influenced them.
THE BEGINNING
 She recorded her first album at age 14, Shakira, which was titled
"Magic". But this failed to achieve great success.
 Her first musical success, she achieved it on her third album, which was
titled "Pies Descalzos". With this album, she achieved the international
recognition she was looking for, being No. 1 in several countries. A year
later, Shakira received the Billboard Awards for Best Album, Best Video
and Breakthrough Artist of 1996.
 In 2001, Shakira recorded the album titled "Laundry Service", which
contains songs in English and Spanish. With this album he obtained
success not only in Latin America but also in Europe and Oceania. This
album obtained the first place in Austria, New Zealand, Switzerland,
Australia among others.
 After these successes, Shakira has collaborated with many artists such
as Alejandro Saenz, Rihanna, Carlos Vives, maluma, among others.
When she started her career, she sang pop rock but over the years she
has sung in different genres.
 During her singing career, she has been nominated for various awards.
Currently, she has more than 420 awards, including 11 Latin Grammy
Awards and 3 Grammy Awards.
Nowadays:
 She has had a romantic relationship with the Spanish footballplayer
Gerard Piqué since 2011. They both celebrate their birthday on the same
day and they have an age difference of 10 years. As a result of their love,
they have two children. Her first son is named Milan and she was born in
2013. Her second son is named Sasha and she was born in 2015.
 Shakira has a non-profit FOUNDATION which has the name “Piez
Descalzos”. Which was created in 1997, with which it seeks to help
improve educational quality in infrastructure, methodology and teachers
in different countries of Latin America and Colombia. She created this
foundation because she believes that education makes changes in
people's lives and that with this I can provide the opportunity for children
to succeed and improve their communities.
 Shakira has had a fragrance line since 2010. The name of this fragrance
line is "S BY SHAKIRA". She designs and creates all the fragrances and
currently she has over 35 fragrances.
 Her last appearance on a stage was in February of this year, in which
she appeared alongside Jenifer Lopez as the stars of the Super Bowl
halftime show. Which was seen by thousands of people around the
world, being a great success.
She was also a member of the television program “La voz” for two opportunities
in 2013 and 2014.
