Technical Approach

Our technical approach demonstrates the succinctly outlined plan towards the fulfilling XYZ PoS
requirements that is utmost feasible. Team ABC Technologies acknowledges that solution of
such nature must be proactive and flexible to accommodate improvements in future. As such we
propose traditional SDLC, yet incorporating innovative work-flow approach to culminate the end
product.

The proposed PoS software shall be developed by adhering to traditional SDLC, which includes
the following steps:

 Requirement Analysis
 Planning
 Design
 Coding
 Testing
 Deployment
 Maintenance

Requirement Analysis: This phase shall focus on the requirements outlined by the agency. It
covers the financial feasibility of the project and coding it into a real working program.

Planning: This step involves answering the question, “How will we get what we want?” At this
phase of the SDLC, things start by turning the software specifications into a design plan called
the Design Specification. The program manager shall get in touch with the agency to have
inputs on various relevant and important aspects.

Design: This portion of the SDLC is concerned with the design of the PoS solution. It decides on
the appearance of the UI. All the designing activities shall be communicated from Designer and
Program Manager to the Agency.

Coding: At this step, the prime focus is on the functionalities of the product i.e. the functions
that the program is supposed to perform in a real operational environment. Our team of
developers shall adhere to sequential steps to complete the entire coding process.

Testing: The proposed Testing approach shall be of Module Testing. Our testing team shall test
the each component of the PoS Solution to ensure we have built the right thing.

Deployment: The PoS solution shall be handed over to the agency after prior testing. Agency
shall be provided with documented information of the product, furthermore, a demonstrative
session shall be held to impart knowledge on the Training In-charges’ of the Agency

Maintenance: This portion addresses the following issues:

 Bug fixing - bugs are reported because of some scenarios which are not tested at all
 Upgrade - Upgrading the application to the newer versions of the Software
 Enhancement - Adding some new features into the existing software
