Dear Father President;

This is to submit the recommendations of the DWCC Safety, Emergency


Response Team (D’SERT) and the Safety Officers in connection of the ongoing
outbreak of COVID-19 worldwide.

As precautionary measure the following are the recommendations:

1. SOCIAL DISTANCING
1.1 Keeping at least one (1) meter distance from people who are coughing or
sneezing.
1.2 Compress the final examination in college at least two days instead of three
days.
1.3 The Basic Education department should schedule all remaining 4th quarter
examinations in the week of March 16 to 20 on a staggered basis to reduce
the number of students in the school per day.
1.4 As per CHED and DEPED advisories, all off-campus activities (Faculty,
Employees and Students) should be suspended (e.q. CES, Meetings,
Seminars, Training, etc.) Except those who are in attending Graduate
Studies.
1.5 No official travel for all Faculty, Employees and Administrators outside
Mindoro province.
1.6 To take prudent measure, declare this year’s Holy Week (Mon-Sat) as
holiday and encourage to pray “Oratio Imperata”.
1.7 Postponed all In-campus activities (e.q. meetings, workshop, seminars and
other related events) until further notice.
1.8 Flexible work arrangements (Temporary in nature).

2. PREVENTION AND CONTROL


2.1 Provision of thermal scanner and other disinfectants.
2.2 Cleaning all the working areas with disinfectant and availability of
water, soap and sanitizer in all washrooms and toilets.
2.3 Decontaminate the work areas with appropriate disinfectant (e.g.
chlorine bleaching solution and 1:100 phenol based disinfectant).
2.4 Sanitizer and other disinfectants should be available in the all
entrance gate of the institution.
2.5 Emphasize to all Students, Faculty and Employees to stay healthy by
following the preventive measures:
2.5.1 Cover the nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing.
2.5.2 Wash hands frequently with soap and water or cleansing of
hands with alcohol based hand sanitizers.
2.5.3 Spit at proper places.
2.5.4 Avoid close contact with people

2.5.5 Increase the body’s resistance by having adequate rest at
least eight (8) hours of sleep.
2.5.6 Drink plenty of fluids and eat nutritious food.
2.6 All the frontline personnel should have Personal Protective
Equipment (PPE). (Like N-95 facemask, surgical gloves, etc.).
2.7 If possible open the windows for classroom and not use air-
conditioning unit.
2.8 Teachers should be the one to open the classroom door knob and
strictly require them to do proper hand washing and use sanitizer.
2.9 Close monitoring of cases such as respiratory ailment should be
done by medical staff and should immediately be reported to the City
Health and Sanitation Department.
2.10 Prepare health clinics (isolation room) for immediate triage and
isolation of students/faculty/employees potentially infected with
COVID-19.

3 INFORMATION DISSEMINATION
3.1 Provide information about COVID-19 in different areas like bulletin
board, LED TV (Through the ISS Office) and other media sources,
including its transmission, disease outcome and treatment options.
3.2 Utilize all the official media sites of the school to disseminate valid
information and updates about COVID-19.

These recommendations will take effect immediately and until further


orders.
