Underneath the Crown: How Mutya ng San Pablo 2020 hit the goal with bullet

of passion and determination

“Beauty, Glitz, and Glamour” are the characteristics that normally

accessorized the beauty queens. With no mistake, Kate Alyson Roño has
each of them -- a 22-year old degree holder in Tourism Management from
San Pablo City.

If you’re a pageant fanatic in Laguna, you probably would’ve heard her name
as she snatched different crowns such as Binibining Calauan 2014 - 2nd
runner up, Miss PWU - CALAMBA 2015, Enchanted Kingdom - 1st Princess
2015, Miss Sunstar Mall 2016 - 1st runner up, Miss Silka Laguna 2018, Miss
Los baños 2018, Miss Toyota-Alabang 2019 - 2nd runner up, Binibining
Laguna 2019 - 3rd runner up, and the latest Mutya ng San Pablo 2020.5.30

For Kate, entering pageantry isn’t just about flaunting their physical beauties.
But with it, they discover their inner strength and get to bond with different
personalities and lifestyle.

“I ain’t blessed with a perfect family. But by joining pageants, I really feel
complete. Dito ko nararamdaman na isa pa rin kaming masaya at buong
pamilya. Sa bawat pageant ko na sinasalihan, alam ko na ang mga magulang
ko ay nagkaka-isa para suportahan, ipagmalaki at gabayan ako.” she said.

She also narrated that she is a girl who lacks of confidence and full of doubts.
Helping to motivate her were her team. From ELEGANTE FAMILY (Mark
Francis Pacion, Lery Bilog) to LPFE FAMILY (Louis Pangilinan, Gutchie
Gutierrez). Especially to her boyfriend Ralph Pantig. Perhaps, she would not
made it this far if without them.

The goal of her platform is to focus attention on “mother earth can freely live
without us, but imagine our future without her. My advocacy is very simple, to
protect our environment. It’s a long process, but I promise you, we will all
benefit in a long run.” Kate said. “A simple act can make big difference.”

According to Kate, it’s not about the fall that hurts the contestants, it’s about
how you boosted up with great passion and determination. Also, she hopes to
represent the country in an international pageant and become a flight
attendant soon.

In fact, she uses her passion and determination as the bullets of her gun.
Then, pulls the trigger with confidence and aim that it hits the goal, and blow
the smoke with her smile underneath her crown.
