Lethal Combination: What Ginoong Victoria 2019 has to offer

“Tall, dark and handsome” reinforces a man’s aesthetic. But this trope quickly
turned into a platform as Ken Lloyd Aquino proved that substance and form
should be intertwined.

Ken, 21, stands six (6) feet tall resides in San Benito, Victor. He earned titles
such as Mr. Young Padua 2014, Mr. Engineering 2019, Mr. LSPU 2019- 1 st
runner up, and Ginoong Victoria 2019.

It’s been a while since Ken joined pageant. From his first pageant on 2014,
after 5 years, he was hesitant to join again because he had lack of
preparation. But his classmates convinced him to join Mr. Engineering 2019
for some academic incentives. Fortunately, he bagged the crown.

At the time being, Ken is a graduating student of Bachelor of Science in Civil

Engineering. Indeed, he was a remarkable engineering student. In certain
instance, together with his thesismates, the developed a project study entitled
“Mixture of Bamboo Leaf Ash as Partial Replacement of Cement in Making
Concrete Hollow Blocks” which they formulated new substitutes for cement
from different raw materials such as agricultural and industrial waste.

Moreover, Ken is also a sports enthusiast as he also plays basketball as

shooting guard and power forward. Consequently, one of his advocacy is
about turning youth’s passion in sports into a purpose of being discipline in all
aspect.

Looking back, Ken Lloyd narrated that he is thankful for the people who
encouraged and brought him into the world of pageantry including his make-
up artist Devey John Valdez and handler Darryl Peñaredondo because it
brought him many opportunities and be a voice for the voiceless.

He is now a candidate of Ginoong Laguna 2020, unfortunately the unexpected

time in history brought by COVID-19 came. Hence, he still manages to stay
positive because he said that it’s better safe than sorry. Ken also shared thet
he looks forward for the better days.

For Ken, everything is a sport where the foundation is the sense of

attachment that is larger than oneself where they feel the sense of
belongingness beyond their families. Certainly, the prerogative to stand up,
heed the views of others and to find a common ground of the team are the
characteristics that made him offer a lethal combination of grit and
determination.
