Bound to be wildly successful: What keeps Miss Silka Laguna 2019 busy in

this time of pandemic

They don’t make statues of the critics, they make statues of the dreamers.
Needless to say, it takes gut to be a beauty queen. But the experience in the
competition gave Keinth Jensen Villamer Patrasanta gave her new
perspective in life.

Keinth, 21, a Tourism Management graduate is a gender advocate. She said


that she wants to be a voice for gender equality and women empowerment
because she believes that a society can’t be developed successfully without
providing equitable opportunities, resources, and life prospects for all gender.

“Since I have a lot of friends from LGBT Community, I want to be their voice. I
believe that everyone deserves to have equal opportunities, especially to be
accepted and not just tolerated.” she said.

Despite the naysayers and discouragement, Keinth learned to stay motivated.


She continued achieving her dreams because she believes that it is a ‘par of
the course.’

With all criticisms, she happened to snatched crowns such as Binibining


Mamatid 2015 - 1st runner up, Ms. Pinili Festival Queen 2015 (Bicol Region),
Ms. Sunstar Mall 2016, Ms. Tourism Festival 2016 (School Pageant),
Binibining Laguna 2019 - 4th runner up, Ms. Silka Laguna 2019 and Ms.
Toyota Alabang 2020 - 2nd runner up.

She was also part of Mutya ng Pilipinas 2019 Top 12 Finalists and Miss Silka
Philippine 2019 top 10 finalists.

Moreover, she owe a lot to her greatest motivation her mom and her 8-year
handler and makeup artist Justine Diamante. Also, she wants to thank Chico
Estiva for the undying support since day one.

“Thank you so much for always being there for me through my ups and
downs. I owe everything on you guys. To my great mentor and partner in
everything, My man Chesley Carlos, thank you for always having your back
ever since. Most especially, I would to thank my Mom. Kung hindi dahil sa
encouragement n’ya sa’kin, wala siguro ako sa Pageantry. I love you so
much.” she smilingly said.

Everything seemed to be a challenge for all as the invisible enemy brought by


COVID-19 affects and cancels our plans. But during this time, Keinth
rejuvenates her spine and sense of elation as she do Yoga.

Aside from keeping herself busy during this pandemic, Keinth still manages to
eye on her goals as she is on bound to succeed -- to achieving her dream
crown.
