Important reminders:

documents in your accomplishment report.
2) At least 2 to 4 pictures may be included in the narrative report.
3) Only Times New Roman, Arial, and Arial Narrow font styles are to be used.
4) The accomplishment and financial report must be printed in an A4-sized bond paper and enclosed with a ring-binder.
5) Kindly change the USG logo to your organization’s logo.

Name of PSU SIKLAB 2019: Empowering the Youth


Project/Activity: through Transformative Leadership
Date/Duration: June 19-21, 2019 Venue: PSU Main Campus

The Palawan State University-University Student Government held its 1 st PSU SIklab:
Empowering the Youth through Transformative Leadership, a leadership training and seminar-
workshop at PSU Main Campus. The first day started with the arrival and registration process
of the participants and was followed by a short opening program where Prof. Lucy M. Fresnillo,
OIC of Office of the Students Affairs and Services (OSAS) gave her welcome remarks as she
represented Dr. Grace N. Abrina, Director of OSAS in her behalf. Hon. Elijah Daniel B. Geanga
also gave his opening remarks and discussed the preliminaries, rationale, and project
objectives of this undertaking.

The afternoon session started with the discussion of Basic Protocols by the University
Student Government President, Elijah Daniel B. Geanga, followed by Effective Communication
discussed by Ms. Harley Queen S. Sevando, USG Senator, and Event Management which
was discussed by Mr. John Paul Roman, USG Student Judge. Before the speakers/Enablers
delved into their topics, several unfreezers/ice breakers were given to the participants.

The day ended with reflection pathways at the Narra Grove participated by the
delegates and facilitators, led by Ms. Vina Baaco, Guidance Counselor.

PSU Siklab participants actively participating during the break-out sessions.

The second day were composed of different sessions about diferent topics: Office
Management discussed by Mr. Heintjielou M. Mateo, USG Student Judge, Productive Meetings
and Minutes Writing by Ms. Ma. Andrea T. Santos, USG Treasurer, Writing Business Letters
discussed by Hon. Elijah Daniel B. Geanga, USG President/Student Regent, Conflict
Management discussed by Mr. James Roger E. Tesorero, USG Senator, Common Problems
Students Face in the University discussed by Ms. Jenny D. Almario, USG Lead Judge,
Implication of Outcome Based Education to the Student Leaders discussed by Ms. Iris Pearl
Ortiz, USG Senator. The day ended with the Reflection Pathways facilitated by Ms. Vina
Baaco, OSAS Practitioner.

The last day took place on the 21st of June consisting of the PSU Siklab Challenge
which took place around the PSU Main Campus and the closing ceremony took place at the
Ground Floor of the PSU Library. The closing ceremony is where the participants were officially
pinned as Trailblazers and they had the chance to share their reflections on the said training.
