Notes
1) The hoist motion shall be provided with a fail safe brake. All rotating
parts shall be provided with anti-friction-bearing type.
2) Hooks shall be suported in thrust bearing with full rotational freedom

(top hook) and be provided with a safety latch and lubrication point.
3) The hoist and auxiliaries shall be designed with facilities for easy
inspection and maintenance. All equipment shall be delivered ready filled
with oil and grease
4) Construction materials shall be suitable for its purpose and shall have a
chemical composition ensuring adequate strength, ductility and toughness
also after welding. The load chain shall be according to recognized standard.
5) Metal welding shall be based on a welding procedure and welders

qualification test in accordance to recognized standards. All enclosed welded
structures like boxes, tubes etc. shall be seal welded. Drilling of holes in such
structures will not be accepted.

7) Equipment shall be visibly and permanent marked with at least:
Manufacturer name, working load limit, serial number and certification
unless otherwise specified in other supply document.
8) Cranes shall be painted with 2.0 mil DFT Primer & 2.5- 3.0 mil DFT
Safety Yellow Industrial Enamel.
9) Hoists shall be painted per the Hoist manufacturer’s standard coating.
Hooks shall not be painted.
10) Structural components shall be painted with 2.0 mil DFT Primer & 2.5-
3.0 mil DFT Gray Industrial Enamel
11) The crane shall be designed with brakes for all movements. Brakes shall
be of magnetic holding type
12) Scheduled Brakes:
Trolley: Magnetic ac Fail Safe
Hoist: Magnetic ac Fail Safe
13) Runway dimensions and installation details/drawings to be furnished by

Supplier after confirmation of purchase order. While the supplier is
required to propse as option in his offer runway fabrication.
14) Supplier is required to confirm taht the following are applicable for
monrail hoist:
-Overload protection on hoist
-Hoist up/down Rotary Limit switch (Independent of rope guide)
-Hoist secondary upper limit switch to cut off main contactor.
-Protection IP55, Insulation class F
-Low Control voltage 48 V for extra safety
-Electric connections using easy plug in connectors of industrial standards
-Motor circuit breakers for all drive groups
-Phase reversal protection
-All 2-step pole changing motors, for easy maintenance
-Motors with DC disc brakes and asbestos free brake linings
-Galvanized wire rope with minimum factor of safety 5
-Reeved bottom block with edge protection, for additional safety & extended
life of wire rope
-Push button pendant height adjustable
-Hoist & trolley unit with control panel.
-Push button pendant control system hanging from the hoist.
-Festoon cable power supply system.
-One set of owner’s manual in English.
15) The following shall be excluded

-Load population recorder to calculate the real service life of the hoist
-Operation hours counter
16) All internal wiring from control panel to hoist and pendant station shall
be part of the supplier's scope (offer), EPPM will provide only the power
supply 400V, 60Hz, 3Ph+PE via power cable ( section 3x4mm² + 4mm PE).
