A Class diagram gives an overview of a system by showing its classes and the relationships among
them. Class diagrams are static -- they display what interacts but not what happens when they do
interact.
According to the given case, the main identified classes are Sales order, Sales Document
Items, Invoice, Schedule Line, Item Category, Product, Standard Item, Text Item, Free of
Charge Item and Customer. The particular sales order should contain the items that
customer ordered. The sales order can contain one or more items and it consists with
Materials. Sales order is equal to Invoice, which can contain Sales Document Items as well.
An Invoice can contain one or more items.
Each order will have a single associated customer, and each customer can have multiple
sales orders. However, a customer is not required to have any orders.
Each order will have at least one, and possibly multiple Document items. Each Document
items is uniquely associated with a single order.
Each Document item represents a single product. However, a product is not required to be
represented in a Document item.
A product can be represented in multiple Document item (even within the same quote).
Item Category contains three child classes, Standard item, text item, free-of-charge item.
The item category is the parent class. Item category associated with one product class and
product class can contain one or more item category. Furthermore, each sales items
associated with different item class.
To identify delivery quantities and dates the Schedule line is used and it should consist the
document item class to track down the quantities that is ordered and to know the delivery
date. One sales document item can have one or many schedule lines and one schedule line
can have one sales document item.
Each class contains attributes which help to track down the individual orders and to identify
classes separately.
