    The proportional counter also called Ca-channel is mounted in the goniometer center. It
    records a fluorescence signal in a defined energy window. The Ca-channel is used for Al-
    Bath application to measure the Ca-content of the sample.
    A calibration is needed to measure the content of the fluorescence emitting element. The
    fluorescence signal and the diffraction signal can be recorded at the same time. It is
    possible to use a motorized knife edge in combination with a proportional counter.
