September 10, 1970, Jonathan Tivadar Soros is the son of the billionaire funder of

numerous left-wing causes, George Soros. After earning a BA from Wesleyan

University in 1992, the younger Soros went on to graduate from Harvard Law School

and the John F. Kennedy School of Government.

In 1992, Soros worked on the campaign and inaugural committees for the Bill Clinton/Al

Gore presidential ticket. He subsequently clerked for federal judge Stephen F. Williams

of the U.S. District Court of Appeals in Washington, D.C. prior to joining his father’s

Soros Fund Management (SFM) investment firm in 2002. He remained with SFM for

nine years, the last six of which he spent as its president and deputy chairman.

In 2004 Soros was an early supporter of the Democracy Alliance, a coalition of wealthy

left-wing donors. In 2004-05, he served as a board member of America Coming

Together and MoveOn.org.

In 2006 Soros began a ten-year stint as a Board Of Trustees and U.S. Programs Board

member of his father’s Open Society Foundations‘ (OSF).

In 2009, Soros and his wife of twelve years, Jennifer Allan Soros, co-founded an

eponymous philanthropy called the Jennifer and Jonathan Allan Soros Foundation,

whose grantees have included such organizations as the Tides Foundation, Planned

Parenthood, the Center for Reproductive Rights, the NAACP Legal Defense and

Educational Fund, Demos, the Brennan Center For Justice, Public Campaign, New

America, the National Audubon Society, Death Penalty Focus, the Common Cause

Education Fund, and the Progressive America Fund.

From 2009 through at least 2015, Soros served as a board vice chair and director at the

Foundation to Promote Open Society, a sister entity to OSF.

After leaving Soros Fund Management in 2011, Soros became the founder and chief

executive officer of JS Capital Management LLC, a private investment firm in New York

City. In 2014, Newsbusters listed Soros as one of America’s major donors to the

political left. The following year, Bloomberg Politics identified him as a “hedge fund

titan.”[1]

While Soros has made hundreds of donations to various left-wing political campaigns

and causes over the years, he has simultaneously pushed for campaign-finance reform

measures aimed explicitly at removing the influence of big money from politics. In 2011

alone, while Soros served as a high-ranking OSF official, OSF gave more than $58

million to leftist beneficiaries. Soros himself has acknowledged the contradiction

between his own massive infusions of cash into political causes on the one hand, and

his calls for reductions in such expenditures on the other: “It’s ironic. We’re the first to
acknowledge the irony. At the end of the day, you’re dealing with the rules [by] which

people get elected and we’re not going to win this issue with hang wringing and good

intentions… You actually need to demonstrate to candidates that it’s in their best

interest to be for reform and against their interest to be against it. Money is part of that.”

In 2012 Soros founded the Friends Of Democracy PAC (FODPAC), which later merged

into Every Voice, to promote campaign-finance reform. Politico.com dubbed FODPAC,

whose professed aim was to “get money out of politics,” as a “PAC to End All PACs.”

Similarly, the Washington Post called it an “anti-superpac super pac.”[2]

On April 2, 2015, Soros was one of approximately a dozen influential American leftists

who attended a closed-door meeting that New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio held at his

mayoral residence. The purpose of the gathering was to lay out a “Progressive Agenda

to Combat Income Inequality” in the United States. Other notable attendees included

Van Jones, Marian Wright Edelman, Joseph Stiglitz, Sherrod Brown, Dannel Malloy,

Toni Morrison, and Raúl Grijalva.

In 2015 Soros co-founded Give Lively LLC, an organization that seeks to help

undercapitalized nonprofits access state-of-the-art fundraising technology that would

otherwise be beyond their ability to afford.

During the 2016 election cycle, Soros contributed money to Hillary Clinton‘s presidential

campaign. In February 2016, he also donated $1 million to Planned Parenthood‘s

political arm, Planned Parenthood Votes, which endorsed Mrs. Clinton for president.
 Soros is a senior fellow of the Roosevelt Institute, a New York City-based think tank that

strongly opposes the Citizens United Supreme Court decision of 2010, a ruling which

struck down a regulation that had prevented corporations and labor unions from funding

the production of political campaign ads within 60 days of a general election. He also

serves as a board co-chair of the New America Foundation, a board member of the

NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, and an influential member of the

Democracy Alliance. In addition, he holds several board positions connected to OSF.

Obama is friends with three Pakistani college roommates, muslims, Mohammed
Hasan Chandio, Wahid Hamid, and Indian Vinai Thummalapally.   In the

Controversy over Joint Chiefs[edit]
On June 8, 2007, Gates announced that he would not recommend the renomination of Peter Pace,
the Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff, due to anticipated difficulties with the confirmation process.
Instead, Gates recommended Mike Mullen, the Chief of Naval Operations at the time, to fill the
position. Gates stated: "I am no stranger to contentious confirmations, and I do not shrink from them.
However, I have decided that at this moment in our history, the nation, our men and women in
uniform, and General Pace himself would not be well-served by a divisive ordeal in selecting the
next chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff." Gates referred to Pace as a friend and praised his service
as a Marine.[51]
Misshipments of nuclear weapons[edit]
On June 5, 2008, in response to the findings on Air Force misshipments of nuclear weapons and
nuclear weapons components, Gates announced the resignations of Secretary of the Air Force
Michael Wynne and Air Force Chief of Staff Michael Moseley.[52] Gates would later write that the
USAF was "one of my biggest headaches" during his time in the office. [53]

Obama Administration[edit]

On December 1, 2008, President-elect Obama announced that Robert Gates would remain in his
position as Secretary of Defense during his administration, [6] reportedly for at least the first year of
Obama's presidency.[54] Gates was the fourteenth Cabinet member in history to serve under two
Presidents of different parties, and the first to do so as Secretary of Defense. One of the first
priorities under President Barack Obama's administration for Gates was a review of U.S. policy and
strategy in Afghanistan.[55] Gates, sixth in the presidential line of succession, was selected as
designated survivor during Obama's inauguration.[56] On March 1, 2009, he told David Gregory on
Meet the Press that he would not commit to how long he would serve as Secretary of Defense but
implied that he would not serve the entire first term.[57]
While Gates continued the troop withdrawals in Iraq, which already had begun in the Bush
administration, he also implemented a rapid, limited surge of troops in Afghanistan in 2009. [58] Robert
Gates removed General David D. McKiernan from command in Afghanistan on May 6, 2009 [59][60] and
replaced him with General Stanley A. McChrystal. The Washington Post called it "a rare decision to
remove a wartime commander". The Washington Post described the replacement as one of several
replacements of generals who represented the "traditional Army" with Generals "who have pressed
for the use of counter-insurgency tactics".[59]

In December 2009 Gates visited Afghanistan following President Barack Obama's announcement of
the deployment of 30,000 additional personnel against the Taliban insurgency. [61]

Time magazine notes that Gates and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton have "forged a
formidable partnership", speaking frequently, "comparing notes before they go to the White House",
meeting with each other weekly and having lunch once a month at either the Pentagon or the State
Department.[62]
In a March 2010 speech to a NATO conference in Washington, Secretary Gates said that "The
demilitarization of Europe—where large swaths of the general public and political class are averse to
military force and the risks that go with it—has gone from a blessing in the 20th century to an
impediment to achieving real security and lasting peace in the 21st". [63]
Gates announced in February 2010 that the department would lift its ban on women serving on
submarines.[64] Gates also prepared the armed forces for the repeal of the don't ask, don't tell policy.
Since the repeal in 2010, homosexuals are able to serve in the military openly.[65] In service of that
goal, he announced in late March 2010 the approval of new regulations that would make it more
difficult to kick gays out of the military. Gates called the guideline changes, which went into effect
immediately, a matter of "common sense and common decency" that would be "an important
improvement" allowing the Pentagon to apply current law in "a fairer and more appropriate" manner.
The Pentagon's legal counsel, Jeh Johnson, said the new regulations are by no means a moratorium
on the current law and stressed that cases would move forward under the new standards. [66]

In August 2010, speaking to Foreign Policy magazine Secretary Gates said that he would remain as
Secretary of Defense until 2011 and then retire. "I think that it would be a mistake to wait until
January 2012," he said. "This is not the kind of job you want to fill in the spring of an election year." [67]
[68]

Gates officially retired as Secretary of Defense on July 1, 2011 and was presented the Presidential
Medal of Freedom, the nation's highest civilian award, by President Obama during his retirement
ceremony.[8]
Fiscal restraint[edit]
Gates' tenure with the Obama administration included a huge shift in military spending. In April 2009,
Gates proposed a large shift in budget priorities in the U.S. Department of Defense 2010 budget.
The budget cuts included many programs geared toward conventional warfare, such as the end of
new orders of the F-22 Raptor, and further development of Future Combat Systems manned
vehicles. However, these cuts were counterbalanced by increases in funding for programs like the
special forces.[69] Gates called this the "nation's first truly 21st century defense budget." [70] In late April
2010, he suggested the Navy cease funding development of a new multibillion-dollar ballistic missile
submarine program on the grounds of cost and relevancy. [71] He suggested the hundreds of billions of
dollars would be better spent on a new generation of vessels tailored to the threats and tactics more
likely to be faced, noting, "Mark my words, the Navy and Marine Corps must be willing to re-examine
and question basic assumptions in light of evolving technologies, new threats and budget realities." [72]
In a speech made on May 8, 2010, Gates stated that he would make politically unpopular cuts to the
Pentagon bureaucracy in his future budgets.[73][74]

Criticism[edit]

As deputy director and director of America's leading intelligence agency for many years, Gates and
his CIA staff have been faulted for failing to accurately gauge the decline and disintegration of the
Soviet Union. More particularly, Gates has been criticized for allegedly concocting evidence to show
that the Soviet Union was stronger than it actually was.[94] George Shultz said that, while Secretary of
State, he felt the CIA under Gates was trying to "manipulate" him, that the agency was "a big
powerful machine not under good control. I distrust what comes out of it." [95] Schultz also told Gates
at the time that his CIA was "usually wrong" about Moscow, having dismissed Gorbachev's policies
as "just another Soviet attempt to deceive us."[96] In 1991, Stansfield Turner, former Director of
Central Intelligence, described the "enormity of this failure to forecast the magnitude of the Soviet
crisis. ... I never heard a suggestion from the CIA ... that numerous Soviets recognized a growing
systemic economic problem."[97] Turner said this failure was a consequence of deliberate distortion by
those in the upper echelon of the CIA who were helping to sell the Reagan administration's defense
buildup, a view backed by former CIA analyst Melvin Goodman at Gates' 1991 confirmation
hearings: "[William] Casey seized on every opportunity to exaggerate the Soviet threat ... [while]
Gates' role in this activity was to corrupt the process and the ethics of intelligence." [98] Reviewing the
 third installment of Gates' memoirs in 2016, Goodman said, "In my 24 years at the CIA, there was
never the kind of toxic atmosphere that existed when Gates served as deputy director for
intelligence, deputy director of CIA, and finally director of CIA." [99] Also, according to Newsweek,
Gates, as deputy director of CIA, allegedly vouched for the comprehensiveness of a CIA study
presented to the Senate and President Reagan alleging that the Soviet Union played a role in the
1981 shooting of Pope John Paul II. A CIA internal review later denounced the report as being
skewed,[94] but that Gates did not try to influence the report's conclusions. [100]
Shortly after his retirement from his tenure as Defense Secretary in summer 2011, during a meeting
of the National Security Council Principals Committee, Gates highlighted many of the measures
taken by the U.S. to advance Israel's security during the Obama Administration, including providing
access to state of the art weaponry, assisting with the development of missile-defense systems, and
sharing high-level intelligence, before expressing his view that the U.S. has received nothing in
return from the Israeli government with regards to the peace process. According to senior U.S.
administration sources, other officials present offered no rebuttal to Gates' analysis. This was not the
first time Gates publicly expressed frustration with the Netanyahu government, with which he had
worked hard to provide wide-scale and deep military cooperation. [101] The Likud party of Israel
responded to Gates' description of Benjamin Netanyahu as a danger to Israel's future by claiming
that most Israelis support the prime minister. [102]

On 23 July 2014, the web site Uncle Sam’s Misguided Children shared the altered image and
then deleted it (presumably because someone pointed out the photograph was not an authentic
depiction of President Obama).

The precise source of the unaltered photograph is unclear, as versions of it posted online were
invariably found on sites that used it as a general illustration of content relating to Black Panthers
rather than discussion of a specific event. A visible date stamp appeared to suggest the original
photograph was taken in 1998.

Video of Lia Soetoro Sobah has recently been found. Lia speaks to us, in her own
words, about two years before her untimely (or perhaps all too timely) death. We don’t
speak Indonesian, but perhaps some of our readers do and will enlighten us. Lia’s story
begins here, in stories by Yayat Suratmo and Arip Budiman, published from 11/17/2008
through 11/25/2008, just after Obama’s election. For your convenience, I translated the
introduction to each video:

“Lia, a nickname. She lived at the family home of Lolo Soetoro for 15 years. And four
years of which she spent in the company of a black kid who came from Hawaii. The boy
was brought by his mother, a beautiful white woman, Ann Dunham, who was married to
Lolo Soetoro, a manager at Pertamina.

Barry, the boy’s nickname, was about six years old. Lia, who he called Sister Miss, was
asked by the couple, Lolo Soetoro and Ann Dunham, to protect and accompany Barry.
But who would have thought that Barry, a black boy who often asked her to play
‘mouse-tikusan’, has now become the U.S. president-elect?

Part Two: “Barry (Obama’s nickname) was happiest when asked to walk along the
summit area. He brought home, from there, cake that he often bought–Mochi, a type of
sweet snack smeared with flour, in a small basket placed in a box. Barry bought in
quantity, mochi-mochi, seemingly, to share with children around his home village.

That wasn’t all: Barry also often climbed the mango tree at his house in Jalan Haji
pekarangannnya Ramli, Menteng Dalam, together with Non Mbak [his adopted sister
Lia]; they picked mangoes and then shared them with the village children.

Part Three: “On his birthday which [allegedly] falls annually on August 4, Barry was
very happy because at the same time, there were also crowded, hectic preparations [for
the Indonesian festival of ] Agustusan. At home, at Jalan Haji Ramli, Menteng Dalam,
many red and white flags were placed along the streets and alleys. Seeing that, Barry
asked for a happy birthday cake and was given a red and white flag. Barry also asked to
buy a lot of red and white flags. He put the small flags in virtually the every room,
including his bedroom.”

Part Four: “Between Barry and Sister Non [Lia], who were like brother and sister, they
have a pet each one tail. [This is a quaint Indonesian expression for counting animals.
Each child had one pet, apparently.] Non Mbak also admitted during his stay in Menteng
Dalam, the Lolo Soetoro family never moved …”

“Alm. Lolo Soetoro had said that he bought the house for
Obama and Maya. Obama bought his house in Ciputat, while Maya was conceived at
the time they occupied houses in Menteng Dalam. Non Mbak also said that, remember,
almost nobody from the Lolo Soetoro family ever came to his house, except for Mr.
Lolo’s mother who was called Grandma by Obama and Non Mbak.”

Part Six: “After playing together for so long, ultimately, Obama and his sister Mbak
must be separated. When the airport, Obama was crying and did not want to part with
Mbak Non, who was then worn shoes Mbak Non taken Obama because they do not
want to split up.”

Part Seven: “Mbak Non is thankful that Obama’s belongings are still there and stored
neatly away. Blankets filled with vomit stains and Obama still have a wooden carving of
the traditional house of Toraja Land purchased for Mbak Non by Obama is also still
there and other objects. We parted with Obama, a lot of belongings Non Mbak also
brought Obama, like his shoes and clothes.”

So there you have it. In her own words. Make of these introductory translations what
you can and will. Some are difficult to decipher. I look forward to hearing from anyone
who can translate and transcribe the actual interviews for us.

However, it certainly sounds plausible that not only did Lia live with Barry for years, she
also remembers much about their time together. Detailed memories, capable of being
verified. Names, locations, visitors to the house. Witnesses who could corroborate what
Lia says. She even retains many of Barry’s belongings from those days, including, if I’m
reading correctly, vomit-stained blankets! She shows the blankets and other artifacts to
the reporter. DNA, anyone?

Some have questioned the authenticity of Lia’s memories. Is she a charlatan, out for her
15 minutes of fame? Perhaps. But she must be (strike that: must HAVE BEEN) a very
clever and daring person, to have invented such detailed memories. Memories that ring
true and which hang together. Especially since the Indonesian media were taking her
seriously and could easily do the legwork necessary to try to authenticate what she
said. After all, they had well over a year from the time of these “inaugural” interviews
until the time of her death, in Feb. 2010.

Ask yourself two questions: Why did Obama cancel that trip to Indonesia after Lia’s
story came out? Why did Lia die so suddenly and mysteriously, as she was again
being interviewed by Indonesian media, in anticipation of the Obama visit,
planned for Spring 2010?

Then ask yourself these questions: Who had more to hide? Who is the bigger charlatan,
fabricator, liar?

“Lia”Obama’s Adopted Sister Died Suddenly

What Information was Taken to Her Grave?

You haven’t heard of Lia? Neither had we. The unknown, until now, adoptedsister of
Barack Hussein Obama died unexpectedly February 26, 2010. The USA media didn’t
cover the story of this woman nor was her name found until the last few days. A
competent WTPOTUS sleuth, Leza, and other researchers uncovered an article about
an adopted “kakak” (literally “older sibling”, often translated as “brother”) in Indonesia,
named Lia or Lee. Following up on a tidbit of information and other clues, more
information was uncovered. Lia was an adopted sister, not a brother. Two Indonesian
obituaries were just found. These tell the final tale of this woman nicknamed Lia, whom
Obama called “Mbak Nun”.

UPDATE: Barack’s half-sister Maya called Lia a fraud, but a PDF document from a web
site of the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia appears to confirm a
relationship between Lia and Barack Hussein Obama. Start near the bottom of page 14.
It’s in Bahasa Indonesia (the language of Indonesia), but even without translation you
can see Lia’s and Barack’s names. Translations of that text can be found in comments
to this post.

Lia & Edi Sobah

Her name was Holiyah Soetoro Sobah, age 53, born in 1957. She was the wife of
Edi Sobah, age 60. They live in West Java, Indonesia. They had three children: Heni;
Marlina, age 27; and Nova Noni, age 25, and four grandchildren. In translated articles
Barack Obama is referred to as her “adopted brother” and “foster brother.” The fact she
used the name Soetoro certainly is telling. It appears that Lolo and Ann adopted Lia, but
there is no documentation for that assumption, just her words in an article. The only
knowledge we have about Lia is from one article and her obituaries.
An Indonesian article was written about Lia’s invitation to the presidential inauguration in
2008. She was very excited about seeing Barack Obama again. The last time they saw
each other was in 1971 when Lia visited him in Hawaii. She was 14 at the time, and
Barry was 10.

When Lia was leaving Hawaii after her 3 month long visit, Madelyn Dunham gave her a
monkey doll and clothes that she is holding in her picture. The doll brought back so
many fond memories that she was planning to give it to him when they met again.

She stated that she received her invitation to the presidential inauguration in a phone
call from a close friend of Maya Soetoro, Barack Obama’s half sister. The translation
said that a white woman who wears glasses and who she knows by the name of Gelf
asked her to attend Obama’s inauguration. Gelf also asked her to be prepared to meet
with Barry before hand. Additionally, Lia was told that a woman of status and means
would be paying the Rp600.000 for her birth certificate and travel. After receiving the
money, she was told to wait for further news about the final plans. Whether Lia came to
the USA to attend the festivities in January, 2008 is unknown.

More information from the article said that Lia stayed at the home of Lolo Soetoro
(Obama’s stepfather) and Ann Dunham Soetoro. If I understood the translation, one
morning in 1966, Lia, age 7, ran away from home. She ended up at the house owned by
Mrs. Siti Bogor. It happened that Mrs. Bogor was a maid who worked for Lolo Soetoro
and Stanley Ann Dunham in Jakarta. At some point, Stanley Ann Dunham asked Mrs.
Bogor if she could adopt Lia. The answer was yes.

She said she called Lolo and Ann, Mr. and Mrs Lolo Eny. In return, they called Lia ”
Non” a nickname for Nona. She said, “I was always called Non, but Barry called me
Ma’am Non.” When Lia lived with the Soetoros Maya hadn’t been born yet, and Barry
was living with his grandmother in Hawaii.
After living with Lolo and Ann for awhile, “Eny” [Annie] promised to give her a sister who
would keep her company. Ann told her, ” Stay well, I’ll pick up your brother Barry.” Two
years later, Barry left Hawaii and went to Indonesia to live with Lolo, his mother, and
Lia. Lia remembered that Obama was four years younger than she. She said that he
was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, August 4, 1961. Lia stated that Barry Obama went to
school and got a basic education in Jakarta.

According to Lia, she and Barry were always together; they played, slept and bathed
together. They traveled on vacations as a family as well. Several times they went to the
summit, Yogyakarta, Bali, to the Land of Toraja (Sulawesi South), and the Bogor
Botanical Gardens. They loved to travel.

Amazing isn’t it that this adopted sister has remained unknown and not acknowledged
as part of Barack Obama’s life story. Her name was never mentioned in his books or by

WASHINGTON – Is this the case that will break the presidential eligibility question wide open?

The Supreme Court conferred today on whether arguments should be heard on the merits of
Kerchner v. Obama, a case challenging whether President Barack Obama is qualified to serve as
president because he may not be a “natural-born citizen” as required by Article II, Section 1,
Clause 5 of the U.S. Constitution.

Unlike other eligibility cases that have reached the Supreme Court, Kerchner vs. Obama focuses
on the “Vattel theory,” which argues that the writers of the Constitution believed the term
“natural-born citizen” to mean a person born in the United States to parents who were both
American citizens.

“This case is unprecedented,” said Mario Apuzzo, the attorney bringing the suit. “I believe we
presented an ironclad case. We’ve shown standing, and we’ve shown the importance of the issue
for the Supreme Court. There’s nothing standing in their way to grant us a writ of certiorari.”

If the Supreme Court decides to grant the “writ of certiorari,” it may direct a federal trial court in
New Jersey to hear the merits of the case, or it may choose to hear the merits itself. The court’s
decision on the writ could be announced as early as Wednesday.

If any court hears the merits of the case, Apuzzo says it will mark the “death knell” for Obama’s
legitimacy.

“Given my research of what a natural-born citizen is, he cannot be a natural-born citizen so it’s a
death knell to his legitimacy. What happens on a practical level, how our political institutions
would work that out, is something else,” Apuzzo told WND.

Apuzzo observed it is “undisputed fact” that Obama’s father was a British subject.

A hearing on the merits “is also a death knell because it would allow discovery so we would be
able to ask him for his birth certificate, and we don’t know what that would show,” according to
Apuzzo. “We might not even get to the question of defining ‘natural-born citizen.’ If he was not
born in the U.S., he’d be undocumented, because he’s never been naturalized. We don’t even
know what his citizenship status is. Hawaii has said they have his records, but that’s hearsay. We
have not seen the root documents.”

Another attorney who has brought Obama eligibility cases to the Supreme Court, Philip Berg,
agrees that discovery would sink Obama’s presidency.

“If one court had guts enough to deal with this and allow discovery, Obama would be out of
office,” Berg told WND. “We would ask for a lift of Obama’s ban on all of his documents. The
last official report said Obama has spent $1.6 million in legal fees [keeping his papers secret],
and the total is probably over $2 million now. You don’t spend that kind of money unless there’s
something to hide, and I believe the reason he’s hiding this is because he was not born in the
United States.”

“The Supreme Court has never decided to hear the merits of an eligibility case,” Berg added. “If
the Supreme Court would decide to hear a case, Obama would be out of office instantly. If
Congress decided to hear a case, Obama would be out of office.”

“They’re taking a different approach, arguing that both parents must be citizens,” Berg noted.

Apuzzo is arguing the “Vattel theory,” which asserts that the term “natural-born citizen” as used
in the Constitution was defined by French writer Emer de Vattel. Vattel, whose work, “The Law
of Nations,” was widely known and respected by the founding fathers, used the term to mean an
individual born of two citizens.

According to Apuzzo, Congress and the courts have addressed the question of who can be an
American citizen, for example regarding former slaves, Asian immigrants, and American
Indians. However, the term “natural-born citizen” has never been altered.

“The courts and Congress have never changed the definition,” said Apuzzo. “The founding
fathers understood that the commander-in-chief of the armed forces needed to have two
American citizens as parents so that American values would be imparted to him.”

Apuzzo said the Supreme Court had clearly accepted Vattel’s definition of “natural-born citizen”
in “dicta,” or statements made in opinions on cases addressing other matters. He cited Supreme
Court Chief Justice John Marshall’s opinion in the 1814 “Venus” case, in which Marshall
endorses Vattel’s definition.

Apuzzo also cites the writings of founding father David Ramsay, an influential South Carolina
physician and historian who used similar language to Vattel.

Previous cases challenging Obama’s eligibility have all been rejected on technical grounds.
Numerous courts have decided that the plaintiffs do not have “standing” to bring a suit against
Obama because they have failed to prove they are directly injured by his occupation of the Oval
Office.

“To me that’s false,” said Berg. “The 10th Amendment refers to ‘we the people.’ If the people
can’t challenge the president’s constitutionality, that would be ridiculous.”

“My clients have a right to protection from an illegitimately sitting president,” said Apuzzo.
“Every decision he makes affects the life, property, and welfare of my clients.”

Apuzzo said the founding fathers had good reason to require the president to be a natural-born
citizen.

“They were making sure the President had the values from being reared from a child in the
American system, and thereby would preserve everybody’s life, liberty and property in the
process.

“They made that decision, so my clients have every right to expect the president to be a natural-
born citizen. It goes to all your basic rights, every right that is inalienable. The president has to
be a natural-born citizen.”

Those records all exist and if someone destroyed them and they are missing, that is a federal
crime by which Barack Obama has benefited, so he is then a guilty co conspirator in another
felony. If you get money from someone illegally, and someone else burns the papers protecting
you, you are just as guilty as the person who lit the match.

That is how all of this ties together from Hawaiian welfare fraud, Occidental College student
finance fraud and Barack Obama currency fraud defrauding the American public of funds and
places of education for it’s own citizens.

EVIDENCE Of FELONY DRUG USE:

The Respondent first admitted illegal drug use by disclosing it in his

book, Dreams from My Father. Obama, Barack. Dreams from My Father: A
Story of Race and Inheritance. New York: Three Rivers Press, 1995. In
that book he admitted, “Pot had helped, and booze; maybe a little blow
when you could afford it. Not smack, though.” pp. 93–94. The
Respondent knew that his activities were illegal. The drug use
occurred from as early as high school at least until he completed his
bachelors degree in New York City. He entered law school in 1988,
living in and traveling in Somerville and Cambridge. He graduated
from law school in 1991.

Attorney surrenders license because of cocaine!

In about early 1991, Respondent submitted his application to take the

Illinois bar exam, in which he attested that his answers to the
questions were true and correct. In the Character and Fitness section,
questions 18 and 19 included the following statement:

NOTE. In connection with your answer to questions 18 and 19, you are
advised that no statute, court order, or legal proceeding withholding
adjudication, expunging information from any record, sealing any
record, or purporting to authorize any person to deny the existence of
occurrence of any information or matter shall excuse less than full
disclosure of any information or matter otherwise required to be
disclosed herein. You must answer questions 18 and 19; the attachment
of letters from law enforcement agencies in lieu of an answer is not
acceptable. Information provided in response to one of the two
questions need not be reported in response to the other.

18. Have you ever, either as an adult or juvenile, been cited,

arrested, accused, formally or informally, or convicted of any
violation of any law other than moving traffic violations.

In response to question 18, it is understood the Respondent answered

“no.” The Respondent did not disclose his multiple drug use occurring
through his time in high school and college.

By this time in his life he was very mature and sophisticated person
that he either did or should have given a great deal of consideration
to his response to question 18 a great deal of consideration. He has
not disclosed if he consulted with anyone, such as Illinois attorney
Michelle Robinson(later his wife) before answering the question.

On December 17, 1991, Respondent was admitted to the practice of law

in Illinois. At no time prior to his admission to the Illinois bar,
did Respondent apprise the Illinois Character and Fitness Committee of
his involvement in illegal drug activity. If he had been caught he
likely would have been charged with criminal possession of a
controlled substance in the fifth degree which is a class D felony.

In response to question 49 & 51, the Respondent answered “no.”

On December 17, 1991, Respondent was admitted to the practice of law

in Illinois. At no time prior to his admission to the Illinois bar,
did Respondent apprise the Illinois Character and Fitness Committee of
his multiple civil citations or his concealment of them on his bar
application.

The Respondent knew that he had incurred multiple violations. These

fines exceeded the $200.00 reporting threshold for a total of $400.00.
Between October 5, 1988 and January 12 1990, violations included
failing to put money in meters, parking in a resident-only area,
blocking a bus stop, and multiple tickets in the same day for
exceeding the time limit at a meter. At this time he was living at
365 Broadway, Somerville, Massacustts, 02144. The substance and
frequency of his disregard for legally valid rules demonstrate a
contempt for the rules. He obviously felt he was above the rules that
“the common folk” were expected to follow. All the time that he was
supposed to be attending to learning the law, he contemptuously
thumbed his nose even at simple parking rules. Do as I say, not as I
do! The fines and penalties went unpaid for almost two decades. He
asks others to obey the law yet he is too good and it is beneath him
to pay lowly parking fines. Its all about expediency, parking rules
don’t apply to the “important people” and its too inconvenient and
time consuming to bother with finding a legal parking space. He is so
smart and virtuous that merely electing him will end the illegal war
in Iraq but finding a legal parking space near the elitist law school
it too taxing for him.

Evidence Offered in Mitigation

None. The Respondent does not have a good reputation for truthfulness
and veracity but continues even to this day to shade the truth and
mislead. The Respondent has never expressed remorse for his
intentional misleading and dishonesty.

FINDINGS OF FACT AND CONCLUSIONS OF LAW

In attorney disciplinary proceedings, the Administrator must establish

charges of lawyer misconduct by clear and convincing evidence. In re
Ingersoll, 186 Ill. 2d 163, 168, 710 N.E.2d 390 (1999). It is the
responsibility of the Hearing Panel to determine the credibility and
believability of the witnesses, weigh the conflicting testimony, draw
reasonable inferences, and make factual findings based upon all the
evidence. In re Timpone, 157 Ill. 2d 178, 196, 623 N.E.2d 300, 308
(1993). In this case, there is no dispute as to facts as the
Respondent readily admits them. With the above principles in mind and
after careful consideration of the evidence and exhibits, I ask the
Hearing Panel to make the following findings.

The Respondent should be charged with:

1.

making a statement of material fact in connection with a

bar application that the applicant knows to be false in violation of
Rule 8.1 of the Illinois Rules of Professional Conduct (“Rules”);
2.

committing a criminal act that reflects adversely on the

lawyer’s fitness to practice law in violation of Rule 8.4(a)(3) of the
Rules;
3.

engaging in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit

or misrepresentation in violation of Rule 8.4(a)(4) of the Rules;
4.

engaging in conduct prejudicial to the administration of

justice in violation of Rule 8.4(a)(5) of the Rules; and
5.

engaging in conduct which brings the courts or the legal

profession into disrepute in violation of Supreme Court Rule 771.

It is undisputed that the Respondent consumed illegal drugs and failed

to disclose that when completing his bar application. The Respondent
subsequently disclosed these actions in his own published writings.
Furthermore, he committed multiple criminal traffic violations which
he deceptively and intentionally failed to report them as required to
on his bar application. Of the 17 violations, cumulatively they
exceeded $350.00. By his own admission by his use of drugs he was
therefore in possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree
which is a class D felony. As a result, we find clear and convincing
evidence that the Respondent violated Rules 8.4(a)(3) and 8.4(a)(4).
It follows that such misconduct was prejudicial to the administration
of justice and brought the legal profession into disrepute.

In analyzing whether the attorney engaged in misconduct, we request

that the Hearing Board adopt the Administrator’s previous suggestions
to employ a two-step process. First, the Hearing Board ascertained
whether in that particular case, appellate opinions were of a nature
to be properly identified in response to the question on the
application. If they were, the Hearing Board then examined the
attorney’s state of mind to determine whether his failure to disclose
the information was purposeful.

The Hearing Board concluded that the appellate decisions were directed
at the trial court’s actions, not the attorney’s actions or
professional conduct and therefore found that the attorney responded
appropriately. In so finding, the Hearing Board did not reach the
second step of the analysis, but noted the attorney’s candor and
credibility.

In applying the two-step analysis in this matter, we must first

determine whether the Respondent’s conduct as a serial violator of the
criminal traffic laws was of a nature to be properly identified in
response to question 49 of the bar application. Question 49 asks,
“Have you ever been charged with a traffic violation involving
felonious conduct or the use or possession of alcohol or drugs or
which resulted in time spent in custody, a fine of $200 or more, or
the revocation or suspension of your driver’s license?” It is known
that prior to the time the Respondent submitted his bar application
the record irrefutable proves that he his multiple citations
represented fines in excess of $200.00. As a result, we find the
Respondent’s payment of the fines without objection in this case is
sufficient nature to be properly identified in response to question 49
on the bar application. Knowledge of his repeated violations when
understood in conjunction with the plain language of question 49, we
find the Respondent answered deceptively and that he therefore engaged
in intentional misconduct.

RECOMMENDATION
The purpose of the disciplinary system is to protect the public,
maintain the integrity of the legal system and safeguard the
administration of justice. In re Howard, 188 Ill. 2d 423, 434, 721
N.E.2d 1126 (1999). In determining the proper sanction, I ask that the
Hearing Board give deliberative consideration to the proven
misconduct. In re Witt, 145 Ill. 2d 380, 398, 583 N.E.2d 526 (1991).

In this matter the evidence demonstrates that the Respondent consumed

illegal drugs that should have resulted in felony charges and a felony
criminal conviction. The Respondent can be sanctioned under the Rules
of Professional Conduct for a criminal conviction even though he
committed such acts before he was admitted to the bar. See In re
Chandler, 161 Ill. 2d 459, 641 N.E.2d 473 (1994).

The Respondent has not cooperated fully with questions into his
illegal drug use and possible sale or distribution of drugs. While he
has no publicly known prior bar discipline we find multiple
aggravating factors. He has consistently denied his misconduct as it
relates to his bar application, failed to take genuine responsibility
for his actions, and demonstrated no remorse.

Based upon the well settled case law discussed above and the
considerable evidence in mitigation I believe disbarment is the
appropriate sanction.

Considering the nature of the Respondent’s misconduct, the lack of

significant evidence in mitigation and the numerous instances of
aggravating factors, the movant recommends that the Respondent be
disbarred.

Trachtenberg is a native of Brooklyn, New York who graduated from James Madison
High School in 1955.[1] He graduated from Columbia University in 1959, and earned a
J.D. from Yale in 1962 and a Master of Public Administration degree from Harvard's
John F. Kennedy School of Government in 1966.
At the beginning of his career, he served as the special assistant to the U.S. Education
Commissioner for the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare. He began his
career in higher education at Boston University and later became President at the
University of Hartford. From there he went to The George Washington University in
Washington, D.C.[2]
He is the author of numerous books including "Presidencies Derailed", The Art of Hiring
in America's Colleges & Universities, Thinking Out Loud, Reflections on Higher
Education, Speaking His Mind, and Big Man on Campus as well as a foreword to
Commercial Providence. He is co-author of "The Art of Hiring in America's Colleges &
Universities" and "Letters to the Next President." [2]
He has received 22 honorary degrees in recognition of his contributions to higher
education. These include an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from Columbia University
in 2007, a Doctor of Public Service degree from The George Washington University in
2008, an honorary Doctor of Public Administration degree from South Korea’s Kyonggi
University, an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from Hanyang University in South
Korea, and an honorary Doctor of Humanities degree from the University of Hartford in

Trachtenberg started a full scholarship program for DC public school students,
increased the national profile of the university, and has fostered the observance of
school traditions such as George Washington's birthday celebration.
During Trachtenberg's tenure as president the university created five new schools:
Public Health and Health Services, Public Policy and Public Administration, College of
Professional Studies, Graduate School of Political Management, and Media and Public
Affairs; initiated the University Honors Program; upgraded GW's library system, which
now contains more than two million books and is a member of the prestigious
Association of Research Libraries; elevated GW's NCAA Division One athletic program,
including record-setting years for men's and women's basketball teams; strengthened
university relations with District of Columbia civic leadership; established Northern
Virginia and Mount Vernon campuses; upgraded and developed University academic,
residential, and recreational facilities;[3] and raised tuition prices.[4][5]
The university Board of Trustees renamed the public policy school for Trachtenberg,
calling it the Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration, similar to
when the university renamed the Elliott School of International Affairs for Lloyd Elliott,
the outgoing president. Trachtenberg holds an endowed chair of public service in the
newly named Trachtenberg School. In the Spring of 2007, after announcing his
retirement, President Trachtenberg announced himself as that year's commencement
keynote speaker, a move met by widespread student outcry and petitioning.
Trachtenberg withdrew from the keynote position citing the Virginia Tech massacre
without further elaboration. [6]
When President Trachtenberg took office in 1988, tuition at GWU was $9,570,
significantly below the national median of $11,330 for all four-year colleges. [7][8] When he
left office in 2007, tuition was $37,790, among the highest in the nation and significantly
above the national median of $30,226. Financial aid kept pace with tuition. [8][9]
Trachtenberg was recognized throughout his career at GW for his commitment to
education. By Resolution of the Mayor and the Council of the District of Columbia, Dec.
4, 2006, was declared "Stephen Joel Trachtenberg Day," recognizing his 19 years of
leadership at GW and in the city. Similarly, by Resolution of the Council of the District of
Columbia, January 22, 1998, was declared "Stephen Joel Trachtenberg Day" in honor
of President Trachtenberg's commitments to minority students, scholarship programs,
public school partnerships and community service.[10]
In the Chronicle of Higher Education survey of college presidents' salaries for 2007-08,
then-President Stephen Trachtenberg topped the nation with a compensation of $3.7
million.[11]

Billionaire investor George Soros, infamous for his

lavish funding of big-government and globalist causes, dropped
several bombshells during a recent interview with Newsweek
including a bold forecast of potential Western economic collapse,
massive civil unrest, and the end of what he likes to paint as the
“free market.” He also sees the emergence of one of the most
dangerous periods in modern history, describing it as a time of
“evil.”
Riots on the streets of America are inevitable, the financier
explained, expressing his thoughts on the subject in a manner
Newsweek described as “almost gleefully.” And it will likely be
used by authorities as an excuse to crack down on dissent. The
“strong-arm tactics” Soros predicts will be employed could even
bring about a “repressive political system” in the U.S. where
individual liberty is curtailed, he said.
“The collapse of the Soviet system was a pretty extraordinary
event, and we are currently experiencing something similar in the
developed world, without fully realizing what’s happening,” he told
the magazine before heading off to the World Economic Forum in
Davos, a yearly gathering of top central bankers, executives, and
political figures set to begin on Wednesday.

In the article, essentially a profile on the infamous billionaire

entitled “George Soros on the Coming U.S. Class War,” the
Hungarian-born hedge-fund manager claimed he did not really
know what to invest in at the moment. Sources close to Soros
told the magazine that he was sitting on a lot of cash.
“It’s very hard to know how you can be right, given the damage
that was done during the boom years,” Soros said, refusing to
discuss his portfolio. “At times like these, survival is the most
important thing.”
But he is not optimistic, judging from his comments at least. “I am
not here to cheer you up. The situation is about as serious and
difficult as I’ve experienced in my career,” Soros told Newsweek.
“We are facing an extremely difficult time, comparable in many
ways to the 1930s, the Great Depression. We are facing now a
general retrenchment in the developed world, which threatens to
put us in a decade of more stagnation, or worse.”
According to Soros, there are several routes the looming crisis
could take — but none of them is good. “The best-case scenario
is a deflationary environment,” he said. “The worst-case scenario
is a collapse of the financial system.”
Perhaps ironically, Soros — widely considered the epitome of evil
by his many critics — warned of an impending age of “evil.”
Claiming that belief in market efficiency and self-regulation is
being debunked by the crisis (ignoring, of course, the dominant
role of anti-market central-bank manipulation and government
intrusion in the chaos), Soros said the looming “market” crisis “is
comparable to the collapse of Marxism as a political system.”
Soros also lambasted “unrestrained competition” for allegedly
producing unintentional but harmful consequences. At the same
time, however, he outright accused many financial kingpins linked
to the current crisis of being “evil.” As an example, Newsweek
cited ex-Goldman Sachs boss Lloyd Blankfein, who headed the
great “Vampire Squid” during part of the crisis and famously told
the media that bankers were doing “God’s work.”
“To many, the idea of Soros lecturing the world on ‘evil’ is, well,
rich,” pointed out Newsweek writer John Arlidge, citing Soros’
business history and recent personal troubles. The financier made

the massive anti-capitalist protests, from funding the magazine
which first called for an “occupation” to lavishing money on big
government-supporting front groups such as MoveOn.Org
agitating for bigger demonstrations.   
Soros has also been a key backer of the Democratic Party and
President Obama. He did claim in his interview with Newsweek,
however, that he was disappointed in the Obama administration
despite being hopeful initially. But he has not backed out of
politics.
“I remain a supporter of the Democratic Party, but I’m fully aware
of their shortcomings,” Soros said, calling for the ongoing and
looming crises to be used for advancing his goals. “In the crisis
period, the impossible becomes possible,” he said. “The
European Union could regain its luster. I’m hopeful that the United
States, as a political entity, will pass a very severe test and
actually strengthen the institution.”
According to the Newsweek article, Soros has a new book
entitled Financial Turmoil in Europe and the United States due to
be released in February. Apparently it covers his views on these
subjects in greater detail. And based on his recent comments, the
book is not likely to paint a rosy picture.
Of course, Soros is hardly the only heavyweight predicting dark
developments in 2012. Trends Research Institute chief Gerald
Celente, who has an uncanny record of forecasting events,
offered a dire analysis of what may be coming. Among the top
trends predicted for this year: “We are about to lose … freedom
as the fascist states keep taking over and using fear and hysteria
to control us,” he told the free market-oriented Daily Bell.
“I believe that we have to watch out for something along the lines
of an economic martial law,” Celente said in the interview. “The
European system is in collapse. The financial system in the
United States is just as tenuous, if not more, and I believe they
will not admit there will be a financial crash but rather they will
use a geo-political issue to get the people in a state of fear and
hysteria whereby they'll then call a bank holiday or devaluation of
the currency, or a hyperinflation of the currency, and blame it on
somebody else.”
While some mainstream talking heads and government officials
speak of a “recovery,” few serious analysts give the optimistic
sentiments much credence. In reality, the economies and
currencies of the developed world could be on the brink of a
cataclysm. And the world’s elite — with Soros almost certainly
included — are likely already preparing.
Soros and other top “Insiders” have long been calling for what
they label a “New World Order” — complete with a global
currency managed by the International Monetary Fund. In late
2010, while accepting his "Globalist of the Year" award, the
billionaire financier actually touted the mass-murdering
communist dictatorship ruling mainland China as a leader for the
new order he envisions.
While Soros’ record of financing organizations opposed to liberty
has made him something of a pariah among conservatives and
constitutionalists, when he speaks, people listen. In Davos, he is
expected to call on European leaders to save the troubled euro at
all costs.
Whether his forecasts will pan out remains to be seen, but
analysts say it would be foolish not to pay attention when he has
something to say. During a time of crisis, without serious
concerted action to stop them, Soros and his cohorts just might
finally get their way.

Billionaire investor George Soros, infamous for his lavish

funding of big-government and globalist causes, dropped several bombshells during a recent
interview with Newsweek including a bold forecast of potential Western economic collapse,
massive civil unrest, and the end of what he likes to paint as the “free market.” He also sees the
emergence of one of the most dangerous periods in modern history, describing it as a time of
“evil.”

Riots on the streets of America are inevitable, the financier explained, expressing his thoughts on
the subject in a manner Newsweek described as “almost gleefully.” And it will likely be used by
authorities as an excuse to crack down on dissent. The “strong-arm tactics” Soros predicts will be
employed could even bring about a “repressive political system” in the U.S. where individual
liberty is curtailed, he said.

“The collapse of the Soviet system was a pretty extraordinary event, and we are currently
experiencing something similar in the developed world, without fully realizing what’s
happening,” he told the magazine before heading off to the World Economic Forum in Davos, a
yearly gathering of top central bankers, executives, and political figures set to begin on
Wednesday.

In the article, essentially a profile on the infamous billionaire entitled “George Soros on the
Coming U.S. Class War,” the Hungarian-born hedge-fund manager claimed he did not really
know what to invest in at the moment. Sources close to Soros told the magazine that he was
sitting on a lot of cash.

“It’s very hard to know how you can be right, given the damage that was done during the boom
years,” Soros said, refusing to discuss his portfolio. “At times like these, survival is the most
important thing.”

But he is not optimistic, judging from his comments at least. “I am not here to cheer you up. The
situation is about as serious and difficult as I’ve experienced in my career,” Soros told
Newsweek. “We are facing an extremely difficult time, comparable in many ways to the 1930s,
the Great Depression. We are facing now a general retrenchment in the developed world, which
threatens to put us in a decade of more stagnation, or worse.”

According to Soros, there are several routes the looming crisis could take — but none of them is
good. “The best-case scenario is a deflationary environment,” he said. “The worst-case scenario
is a collapse of the financial system.”

Perhaps ironically, Soros — widely considered the epitome of evil by his many critics — warned
of an impending age of “evil.” Claiming that belief in market efficiency and self-regulation is
being debunked by the crisis (ignoring, of course, the dominant role of anti-market central-bank
manipulation and government intrusion in the chaos), Soros said the looming “market” crisis “is
comparable to the collapse of Marxism as a political system.”

Soros also lambasted “unrestrained competition” for allegedly producing unintentional but
harmful consequences. At the same time, however, he outright accused many financial kingpins
linked to the current crisis of being “evil.” As an example, Newsweek cited ex-Goldman Sachs
boss Lloyd Blankfein, who headed the great “Vampire Squid” during part of the crisis and
famously told the media that bankers were doing “God’s work.”

“To many, the idea of Soros lecturing the world on ‘evil’ is, well, rich,” pointed out Newsweek
writer John Arlidge, citing Soros’ business history and recent personal troubles. The financier
