No, 22(2)/2017/AFT/Judicial 27" May, 2020 CIRCULAR It is notified for information of the members of Bar, parties in person and all concerned that with a view to compensate the loss of working days of the Armed Forces Tribunal on account of the lockdown declared by the Government, it has been directed that the Principal Bench of the Tribunal shall function during the entire month of June 2020, cancelling the summer vacation and the matters which were scheduled for listing from 24" March, 2020 to 31* May, 2020 before the Principal Bench will be taken up from 1" June, 2020 onwards. The matters scheduled from 24 March, 2020 to 31° May, 2020 have been categorized mainly as (i) Admission Matters (ii) Miscellaneous Applications (iii) Matters where pleadings are incomplete; and (iv) Matters where pleadings are complete and ready for hearing. The matters falling in Categories (i) and (ii) are such matters, where interim directions are sought/needed and can be taken care of within short time, whereas maters falling in Category (iv) need more time for their adjudication. In view of the paucity of time (as the matters scheduled for more than two months will now be taken up in one month i.e. June, 2020), it has been directed that after Admission Matters falling in Category (i), the matters falling in Categories (ii) and (ii) will be taken up from 1* June, 2020 onwards and the matters falling in Category (iv) will be taken up thereafter. The learned counsel and the parties in person, as the case may be, need not appear in the matters falling in Category (iv), as suitable dates for their further listing will be given by the Tribunal Officer/Court Master in such matters.
