Practical Assignment 5 (Spreadsheet – OpenOffice Calc)

The Old Mill Theatre has just completed a very successful run of Lionel Bart’s
‘Oliver’. The following table shows the daily attendance over the period:

Enter this data onto a spreadsheet and save it as Name-Roll#-Practical


Assignment 5, then carry out the following tasks:
1. Add a column, labelled Total Audience, to show the total number of
people that attended on each day. (2 marks)

2. Add a row, labelled Total, to show the total number of: (4 marks)
a) Adults who attended over the period.
b) Children who attended over the period.

3. Add a row, labelled Maximum, to show the maximum number of adults and
children that attended on any day. (2 marks)

4. Add a row, labelled Minimum, to show the minimum number of adults and
children that attended on any day. (2 marks)
5. Add a column, labelled Attendance Status, to show the level of attendance for
everyday according to the following criteria (Hint: IF Statement): (5 marks)
a. Set value of cell as Good, if Total Audience is greater than or equal
to 1200.
b. Set value of cell as Bad, if Total Audience is less than 1200.

6. Apply conditional formatting on the column Attendance according to the


following criteria: (3 marks)
a. Set the background colour to Red, if the value is Bad.
b. Set the background colour to Green, if the value is Good.

7. Create a Line Chart to compare the number of adults on a daily basis on


the same sheet. (2 marks)
