Marco Island City Manager Mike McNees has been re-elected to an At-Large seat on
the Board of Directors of the Florida City and County Management Association
(FCCMA). FCCMA is a professional organization of practicing public administrators from
throughout Florida local governments. The FCCMA is committed to supporting and
promoting council-manager government as the form advances the highest ethical and
professional standards in local government. The organization provides education,
support, information and regulation to its members, and fosters community awareness
of the critical issues of governance.
Mr. McNees was appointed City Manager of Marco Island effective July 1, 2019. He is a
graduate of Indiana University, where he studied chemistry, and received his Masters’
degree in Business Administration from Louisiana Tech University. In 2018 he received
an award from the FCCMA for 30 years of service in local government.
