The overall results statistically recorded that there was no significant difference between
the two systems except for one area which is writing in the primary level. The study
concludes that the decision to shift from five day to four day school week has high
impact in the stakeholders in terms of cost reduction and no significant impact on the
student performance. The study was backed up by another study conducted on different
year which resulted to a similar conclusion of little difference in the student performance
for both class schedules.
