HOT PILGER
TECHNOLOGY
Only 34 countries in the world produce Seamless pipes - Croatia is one of them.
CMC Sisak d.o.o produces Seamless pipes with state of the art hot pilger
rolling technology. During our long history we defended our position in
rolling technology and mechanical engineering through development.

Our Pilger rolling mill is carried out by a single pair of rolls and one mandrel.
In the initial phase of production hot round steel billets are hollowed,
then rolled and stretched until achieving desired length and diameter.

The rest of the work is simply a matter of threading, stamping and painting.
The pipe is now ready to be loaded and shipped as a finished product.

Ladle Furnace Area 5. Allows for the sequence casting of steel on the caster.

The ladle furnace is basically a small electric arc furnace where the furnace Continuous Casting Machine Area
vessel has been replaced with the ladle full of steel. A ladle furnace
provides a number of benefits for the modern steel making facility. The final process area of the Melt Shop facility is the continuous casting
machine. The continuous caster accepts the ladle of steel and transforms
the molten steel into cast steel blooms. These blooms are round shapes
ranging from 210mm diameter up to 410mm diameter.
They are rolled into pipe at the heavy and medium section pipe mill.
