GRADE 9 ASSESSMENT PLAN

PSII – Rachael Labrecque

Formative:

Each unit I will be doing various

forms of formative assessment to
get an idea of where the students are
and to give them more responsibility
in their learning. I plan to have at
least one formative assessment in
each lesson.
These will include:
Questionnaires, student
made videos, exit slips,
hang loose, fist of five,
observation, questions
etc.

Summative:

1. Each day I will give each student a mark from 0-5 for participation

2. Certain units have skills testing attached to them. I will be making rubrics for these
skills and sharing them with the students before they need to complete those skills. I
will use an observation checklist to assess on skill testing days as well as getting the
student to do a self-assessment using the same rubric. I will give the students a score
using both the student self-assessment and my own assessment.

3. The students are to complete at least one fitness test during my time with them. To
my knowledge, Mrs. Dilworth will be running these, but I will be helping out.

4. For the careers unit they will need to complete their Blueprint portfolio.

exploring the benefits of anaerobic/aerobic fitness and what that means

for the students in their lives. The students will get an opportunity to

develop their own workout and experience the social aspects of fitness,

having some fun doing it to encourage future participation. I want to

give the students some resources that they can use in the community and

at home to encourage further exploration of their own fitness journey.
