IEEE P1363.3: Standard For Identity-Based Cryptographic Techniques Using Pairings Call For Submissions
IEEE P1363.3: Standard For Identity-Based Cryptographic Techniques Using Pairings Call For Submissions
Contributions are requested for the IEEE P1363.3 project, "Standard for Identity-Based
Cryptographic Techniques using Pairings."
IEEE P1363.3 is a new standard for Identity-Based Cryptography that was recently
approved as a project of IEEE 1363. IEEE P1363.3 will cover identity-based
cryptographic schemes based on the bilinear mappings over elliptic curves known as
pairings. Specific techniques will include algorithms to compute the pairings, and
specification of recommended elliptic curves and curve parameters over which the
pairings are defined.
SUBMISSION FORMAT
Submissions are encouraged, but not required, to be formatted in the same way as the
existing 1363 standard.
SUBMISSION PERIOD
Submissions will be accepted from February 15, 2006 to August 15, 2006.
Submissions should be sent electronically to the IEEE P1363 chair as well as the IEEE
1363.3 editor. Instructions can be found on the IEEE 1363 web site. Submissions
received will become part of the IEEE P1363 working group's public record and, if in
electronic form, will be posted on the working group's Web page.
PRESENTATIONS
Presentation of the submissions to the IEEE P1363 working group is encouraged but not
required. Time for such presentations may be set aside at the working group meetings. If
you would like to schedule a presentation, please contact the working group's chair.
