SAWAYA During 1994 a hoard of Parthian tetradrachms was discovered by treasure-hunters among tuins at Akura, fifty kilometres east of Byblos in Lebanon. I was able briefly to record the details of the following twenty-nine coins from the find which appeared on the market in Beirut. No container was reported as having been found with the coins, but the appearance of cracks apparently caused by frost on most of them leaves little doubt that the coins form a group.
