REPORT ON COMMUNITY MEETING

By bringing together a cross-section of viewpoints, a community meeting is the perfect

setting to exchange ideas and information. In a successful meeting, a variety of active
participants are brought together, information and opinions are shared, resources and
volunteers are identified, and goals and action plans are established. Community meeting was
held on 06/02/19 in Urban Health Training Centre on the topic minor aliment of under 5
children under the guidance of our teacher Ms. Seema Rani.

We planned a community meeting on under five children so we can spread the message and
get people aware about the minor ailment of under five children and how we can prevent the
diarrhea, how to maintain personal hygiene and seasonal clothing.

During this community meeting there was some doubt from the parents of children’s that
were cleared by our teacher and by us. We also told about the diet, fruits, clothing prevention
of diarrheal disease, seasonal clothing, importance of personal hygiene, and importance of
immunization schedule, and how to prepare a ORS solution. Community meeting take
approximate 1 hour to be held in that one hour we told about all the minor alilment of under
five children and how it can be prevented and managed and at that time total number of
parent’s and their relative were 7-10. For explaining all this information we use charts and
show the ORS packet and tell all about the procedure of making Govt. supply packet of ORS
in home and till what time they can use it, at the end ma’am told about how they make ORS
solution in home remedy. There was some glimpse of the meetings:-
