SYMBOLIC PRAYERS AND OFFERINGS

CANDLE ()

Lord, this Candle is a true light who illuminates our way, make us walk in your lighted path that we do
not lose our way. Let your light shine so brightly so that we can enlighten those who came in our way. Like this
candle, we are ready to be used in your service, without asking why and to what purpose. Even as this candle,
we wish to stand in your presence to be consumed in the light and warmth of your love.

BIBLE ()

O Lord, We thank You for Your steadfast love and mercy on us. Father, we believe that every word in
the Bible was breathed out by You and we believe Your promise that You will bless us when we are obedient to
Your Word. And so, without hesitation, we gladly give to You what is Yours. We love You, Lord! Amen

FLOWERS ()

God, our Giver of life and all things good, you have given us eyes to see your beautiful creations, a nose
to smell the scent of flowers, ears to hear the birds humming so sweetly in the morning. May these flowers be
marked as the symbol of love and compassion that every living shall embody.

BOOK ()

Lord God, this book is many pieces of paper, may the content of this remarkable and symbolic thing be
used as our guide and source of our knowledge and wisdom to combat the unending misunderstanding, war, and
diversity.

FRUITS ()

Heavenly Father, I come to You bearing gifts. May these gifts be put to good use like the blessings.
Accept our thanksgiving, O generous and loving God, for the rich growing of FRUITS teeming with life. Bless
our fruit growers, with land and with good weather, in the miracle of producing our fruitful food. May Your
generosity be emulated by everyone.

PLAQUE, MEDALS, and CERTIFICATES ()

O God, you sustain all of us at every moment, as we work, weep and worry, and as we rejoice and
celebrate! You have inspired us with your creativity, displayed throughout this ever-evolving universe and
echoed in our varied academic achievement. As we commemorate it quarterly, we ask that you bless and guide
our future lives.

FORTUNE ()

Generous God, creator, redeemer, sustainer, at your table we present this money, symbol of the work
you have given us to do; use it, use us, in the service of your world to the glory of your name. Blessed are you,
Lord, God of all creation; through your goodness, we have this money to offer, the fruit of our labor and of the
skills you have given us. Take us and our possessions to do your work in the world. Blessed be God forever.

GLOBE ()

Lord, this Globe is a symbol that we are worth more than the things of this world. All that we are is the
result of what we have thought. May this be the tool defining that happiness is not having what everyone wants,
but wanting what everyone has.
