Eurofins Environment Testing: COVID-19 Response Plan – Update #1

Our Laboratories and Offices remain Open and Fully Operational in Australia & New Zealand

We all realise that we are living in unusual times and all of us are reacting and putting in place measures to protect
ourselves, families, friends and businesses.

Within Eurofins, our colleagues and experts have assisted us across our Clinical Diagnostics/Genomic Services and
BioPharma Technology laboratories across USA, Brazil, Europe and Asia. Utilising these resources, we have
instigated our COVID-19 Response Plan locally across all of our laboratories to protect our staff, clients and
business.

Laboratories are amongst the cleanest work environments available for people to work in as we always operate in
safe and clean environments, guided by our standard operating protocols to ensure that we always meet the most
stringent standards. In addition, to our normal good laboratory practices our Covid-19 Response Plan is very
detailed and coordinated and is in place under instruction and guidance from our Eurofins Global experts.

Our actions involve but are not limited to:

 Social distancing & segregation of staff into operational groups and clearly defined work areas.
 Separation of staff across all shared staff facilities.
 Additional day cleaners are in place throughout all areas, wiping all touch surfaces and shared facilities with
disinfectant multiple times per day with lunch rooms being cleaned between all separated staff groups.
 Access to our sites is now limited to contractors that are critical to Laboratory Operations.
 Non-operational visitors are not permitted entrance to the site with meetings being held electronically.
 All visitors that do access the site must complete a recent travel history and health questionnaire along with
their temperature being checked prior to entrance being approved.
 Sample drop-off areas are segregated and clients and couriers are still able to easily access and drop off
samples to these areas.
 Our standard Laboratory PPE, cleaning and sanitisation protocols are, of course, in place.

Our action plans are many times more detailed than briefly described here and further contingency includes
collaboration arrangements with other third party sector providers when & if needed to ensure continuity of business.
The purpose of this notification is to advise our partners that we are fully operational and have put in place protocols
that are equivalent to best Global practice to protect our staff and continuity of our business.

Finally, our protocols across our Laboratories are developed in conjunction with our colleagues that are conducting
COVID-19 testing in our Clinical Diagnostics/Genomics Laboratories in USA, Brazil and Europe and as such are at a
Global standard.
