Situation/Problem/Opportunity
 The basic purpose of Laundry Facility is to provide the students of LMTSM with clean clothing, drying
and steam ironing services. It will cater to the individual need of student
Project Goals
This project intends to plan design and implement a service through which an easy pickup and delivery
facility can be established. Daily services to students at call with door step delivery.
The vision of this project is to provide the students of LMTSM with affordable and convenient service

In scope /Out of scope

In Scope:
 Purchase of Material like (washing machine , dryer, hot iron )
 Availability of human capital for assistance
 Separate arrangement of room
 Turnaround time of 24 hours

Out of Scope:

 No facility of service on Thursday

 No pickup after 10 p.m.
 No commitment of delivery within TAT beyond 2 kgs

Objectives

 To create an atmosphere by saving time and energy of students by providing hygienic and
damage free laundry service
 To provide students with convenience and affordability
 Washing and steam ironing of delicate clothes along with bulky items
 Differentiated services

o Top loaded washing machines

o Good quality detergents
o Steam ironing
o Wrinkle free packaging

Project assumptions

 Opening space will be provided by the college in the premises.

 Washing machines , weighing scales and other equipment will be provided by college
 LMTSM will provide staff for day to day basis
 Expenses would be incurred in college.

Risk and dependencies

 Maintenance and non-proficiency in handling machine

 Seasonal disturbances
 Power shut down would abruptly delay turnaround time

 Time:
o The estimated time for the implementation of Laundry Service is 4 weeks. Revenue
expenses and equipment functionality will lead to early set up of project

 Money

o The proposed estimated budget for Laundry Services : Machine cost 25000*10 = INR
2500000 ( 10 machines ) , Dryer facility ( 4*25000)= INR 100000 ,detergent
o Salary to workmen 3 workmen INR 24000
o Other indirect cost will include the power consumption bills and other miscellaneous
expenses
