Value Stream Mapping - Problem Sheet

Problem 1:
Draw the current state drawing along with the time line for the following data
(Table -1) of a Peanut butter manufacturing unit. Also calculate lead time, value
added time and takt time. Assume any missing data appropriately.
Table - 1
Customer demand 700 pieces per day

Company working time 1 shifts of 8 hours duration with 30 min break for each shift and
5 days/week
1: Peanut butter CT = 25 s with 1 operator and 700 pcs in inventory
application
2: Jelly Application CT = 30 s with 1 operator and 359 pcs in inventory

3: Packaging CT = 42 with 1 operator and 486 pcs in inventory


4: Shipping 126 pcs in inventory

missing data appropriately and mention in the current state drawing.
